ViviLittleM Posted October 4 Posted October 4 No physical release during the first week for a jazz covers album is really dumb as it's the only consumption
Rocket Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Not good news for 143. Especially considering she spent a few days here in Australia on a mini promo tour where she did radio and tv interviews, filmed content with local social media users, announced a tour AND performed at the AFL Grand Final. The fact Teenage Dream leapfrogged it just confirms she's fabulous for a throwback.

Gaga also did Australian promo this week on several chat shows - didn't help her, and also confirms she isn't that great for a throwback either. Edited October 4 by Punky Rooster
Bends Posted October 4 Posted October 4 I do think that "traditional" promo will only reflect on "iTunes download charts" or "Shazam ratings".

One did a couple of interviews on some tv shows that have next to nothing ratings (hello The Project), while the other performed in front of 100,000 people at the MCG (with millions more watching at home) and yet none of those people went out and bought 143, otherwise the album wouldn't have dropped in it's second week. And to think some Kats said the album would go #1 after the AFL performance.
Khal Posted October 4 Posted October 4 For the people who think being able to sell tour tickets indicates relevancy. Selling tickets, but album is struggling to hold on top top 20 in its 2nd week

Both of them aren't exactly the chart superpower they once were Just that Gaga does better than her because she has a bigger fanbase. In other news, Sabrina is shaping up to be a massive MPG in Australia, it seems.
RoseBud Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Olivia looking to move both her albums back into the top ten as she will be touring Australia during the next couple of weeks.
