Only listened to ROL but I already know it's better because that album is pure perfection and can't be topped

Ray of Light was a completely different sound in the pop landscape back then and was a bold image change and less commercial songs. Renaissance is a good album but it isn't groundbreaking or bold commercially like Bey's Lemonade.

I haven't listened to Ray of Light in forever but I bopped to Ren so that album will do it for me musically.

1. Ray of Light - An absolute MASTERPIECE, it's easily in my top 5 favorite albums ever.

2. Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel - It gets a lot of flack for no reason, to me it was a return to her more R&B sound after the poppier E=MC2.

3. Renaissance - Another great album by Beyoncé that was such a welcome return to dance music.

4. 20 Y.O. - Aside from like 5 songs this album is trash (and I say this as a Janet stan), she tried too hard to keep up with the new girls and I blame JD for this. She shouldn't have let him be the executive producer and instead should've made the dance album that was originally planned to be made with Jimmy & Terry.

Ray of Light by far followed by Renaissance.

Imagine in a perfect world where Madonna somehow made the Ray of Light album a visual album.

To be fair, Madonna's albums from '89 to '05 should ALL have been visual albums if we really want to go there.

Ray of Light is one of the greatest albums of all time, it might even be the best record ever produced by a pop star.

Rennie is second.

Followed by the others.
