I'm honestly pretty shocked by its success, especially since the song doesn't feel as ubiquitous as let's say Flowers or Espresso but still happy both managed to get a huge smash out of this.

I stan Ga Ga but this isn't true lol. "Just the Way You Are", "Grenade" and "Locked Out of Heaven" sold over 10M digital copies (17M in JTWYA's case). "Uptown Funk" is arguably the biggest hit of the 2010s. "That's What I Like" has 2.2B streams on Spotify, same range as "Shallow".

Both have three entries in the Top 50 of the biggest digital songs of all time. Gaga, however, leads with 19M while Bruno is behind. And none of those songs went #1 in 20 countries. So Gaga takes it, I'm afraid. 

 

But even if it's a tie, it's a tie but yet people are giving him ALL the credit.

You answered your own question. Is Playboi Carti a bigger hit maker than Bruno? Does he have other singles charting due to his current smash single?

Bruno's last "solo" hit was nearly a decade ago, can't say the same to Gaga.
