(Brown Skin Girl, Mood 4 Eva, Spirit, Black Parade + Already) The Gift. 1
CherryBay Posted October 2 Posted October 2 (edited) Comparing album from 2013 where physicals were selling very well after Work Biatch song is unfair the other three didn't have a hit song out of the gate Edited October 2 by CherryBay

I can see something similar for Gaga with Happy Mistake ig… 143 is the realest, hard core flop You can't be serious
Aramis Posted October 2 Posted October 2 The fact that The Gift is objectively the most succesful one

And HOW do you think The Gift and Harlequin aren't studio albums? Quickly. It had a documentary and an entire Disney+ film. Britney Jean has two singles and no re-release. How is The Gift a side project? On 10/1/2024 at 11:11 PM, Shaner69 said: Omg this poll. How is side projects a thing for an excuse now? Because Gaga and Beyonce flopped so their studio albums don't count LOL On 10/2/2024 at 4:10 AM, PaloSanto said: Why not using Everything Is Love and Glory fpr accuracy? Glory wasn't a massive decline the way The Gift, Britney Jean, 143, etc. were. Everything Is Love did flop harder than The Gift, but it didn't get three singles and a re-release so it wasn't as big a disappointment. UnusualBoy Posted October 6 Posted October 6 So now the side project thing is an excuse? Anyway Brenda Jeans wins

The Gift had ZERO physicals, yet charted the highest of the four on the BB200, has the most Hot 100 / UK chartings, AND won two Grammys + a VMA. It also pulled an album bomb on the genre-specific Billboard World Music charts (8 or 9 of the top 10 spots), and our fanbase is proud (rather than ashamed) of the direction. The more you fight it Eternium...., the more it looks like a runaway success. The others continued a downward trend... while this was a predecessor of Renaissance and Cowboy Carter, respectively clearing 300,000 and 400,000 copies sold first week.
Bey_Rihstan Posted October 6 Posted October 6 2 hours ago, Eternium said: How is The Gift a side project? Because a great deal of the album features no Beyonce appearance? The soundtrack makes very obvious references to... the LION KING? what a silly question What does it being promoted have to do with it being a side project? a side project is simply a release that isn't apart of the artist's main discography.
Bey_Rihstan Posted October 6 Posted October 6 (edited) Anyway, The Gift. - the Most streamed on spotify by 300M+, Britney Jean is #2 - The only album of these to produce an album bomb on any chart (5 top 10s on the World Songs chart) - Spent multiple Weeks in the top 10 of the BB200 (Britney Jean - 1, Harlequin - 0, 143 - 1) - Has the most charted songs of these albums on the Hot 100 (4) - Had a hit documentary And a hit music film to accompany it - Highest first week sales for an afrobeats project - Received multiple awards and nominations Britney Jean has the biggest/Most notable song. And nothing else The other 2... have nothing Edited October 6 by Bey_Rihstan 1
Britney Spears Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Britney Jean was #74 on the BB 200 year-end chart, the other ones weren't or won't be even close to appearing on a year end list, so that one
Maroonx Posted October 6 Posted October 6 brit... 143 was forgotten by the GP the day after its release date x
GrandeVersace Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Let's be realistic. All equally forgotten. If you think the gp cares about brown skin girl or work b in 2024... All artists can flop. It ain't no big deal.
