Popular Post Virgos Groove Posted October 1 Popular Post Posted October 1 (edited) Don't agree with their ideology, but I recognize that Palestinians see them as a lesser evil and as the only force capable of resisting the IDF. Maybe if Israel hadn't failed to uphold the Oslo accords (which were already pretty bad for the Palestinians) and didn't work so hard to undermine the secular leadership, then Hamas wouldn't be a thing today. KillingYourCareer Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Terror group - Palestine needs to be freed from them and from settlers alike in order to function.
Mezik Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Hamas is evil. However, Israel is directly to blame for Hamas. You cannot fault any Palestinian for supporting Hamas, or celebrating the Oct. 7th attacks when Israel has been a Nazi State committing genocide since the 1940s. 11
LadyFlopga Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Negative but can't blame them seeing how Israel operates 3
State of Grace. Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Palestinians have a right to armed resistance against the occupation, apartheid, and genocide. All resistance groups, including Hamas, PFLP, DFLP, Fatah, etc are morally and legally legitimate and in complete accordance with International Law. The ICJ affirmed that as well. As people who support Palestinian liberation, our obligation is to support all Palestinian resistance against the greatest source of violence which is the Israeli occupation. Without Israel, there would be no Hamas. It is not our place to tell them how to feel/fight especially when all of their peaceful efforts have been met with violence in the last +7 decades. And if you're both-siding it, you're still part of the problem too. 10 2
Letters From Adi Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Would you rather have your hand burnt by putting it in a pot of boiling water or fiery coal? That's pretty much the situation of the unfortunate people in that area. They will get hammered regardless.
dumbsparce Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I love dipping some toasted bread in it. Yummy!! It's full of protein too 3

Solaria Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Freedom fighters 100 % and their methods are far less aggressive and disruptive than the actions that Israel has taken against Palestinians and against Palestinian infrastructure. In fact I'd go as far as saying that considering how Israel has been an occupying force since 1948, systematically oppressing Palestinians, Hamas' actions have been fairly mild. 5 1

It wasn't a joke, i just can't read. Sorry mods. 2
Mr.X Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I will always, always support liberation movements against oppression, so my take is a positive one on them. Whilst I cannot condone violence, they are simply using violence against unforgivable genocide and apartheid by an imposing, occupying military ethnic-state. Long live the resistance, always! 5

noodlelymph Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Positive. Long live the Palestinian resistance. They're not perfect but in the middle of a Holocaust, there's no time for the "right" kind of resistance. Anyone who thinks they're a terrorist group consumes and still believes Western propaganda and Zionist hasbara about them. (Btw the Zionist entity wants them to continue being the face of the Palestinians existence, even going so far as propping them up, because of their rightwing religious ideology.) A majority of the world (the colonized global south) voted to not condemn them at the UN as such. It is thanks to them that the ACTUAL terrorist state of Israel and the terrorists in the Israeli army arent completely annihilating Gazans. They are achieving historic attacks and successes in guerilla warfare against the Israeli terrorists in their invasion of Gaza as well. 4

alexrex Posted October 1 Posted October 1 (edited) It's a terrorist group, but in a way it's facing the Israeli offensive. Can't support a terror group though, what they've done to civilians is horrible. But cannot support a terror state like Israel either, they've done horrible things as well to the Palestinian people, and now to other countries. I stand with the Palestinian people. They deserve peace. Edited October 1 by alexrex 3
Cesar Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Hamas is funded by Israel for the sole purpose of undermining Left Groups that fight for Palestian Liberation

byzantium Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I don't like them, but I understand why they exist. I wish a certain superpower was more concerned about giving the Palestinian people an alternative for leadership, but given how the PLO was not allowed to occupy much leadership authority, there is not really an alternative. 2
BrokenMachine Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Might be a terrorist organization, but they were born because of Israel shenanigans, and Israel already out-terrorized them anyways 2
JoeAg Posted October 1 Posted October 1 yeah, obviously I'm not like "wooohoooo let's go hamas!" but as an anti-zionist who grew up jewish I obviously believe that—get ready cause i'm about to say lesser of two evils—they are easily the lesser of two evils. f*ck israel, long live Palestine. just because i'm STRONGLY anti-zionist doesn't mean i'm necessarily the hamas fanboy. like bro… why can't my f*cking stupid ass old relatives understand that i know my mom talked major sh*t about me to her cousins cause apparently… anyway lemme not get into family drama, it's too early for that. but like, yeah it's not my place to tell people how to or how not to resist against horrible genocide perpetrators like is*ael. I support Palestine all the way, and Palestinians have every right to defend themselves 4 1
JoeAg Posted October 1 Posted October 1 and^ at the same time I'll also say that I need to read more about hamas from my pro-Palestine sources, because I believe we're all still learning more and more as time goes on, those of us who don't live in the middle east that is

So now this "lesser evil" argument is acceptable, but not when it comes to protecting trans and womens' rights by voting Kamala? Interesting how y'all switch up. 2 1 1 4
