simplywohoo Posted October 1 Posted October 1 (edited) That's crazy A top 50 hit i guess Edited October 1 by simplywohoo
RideOrDie Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Canadian queen should have cancelled her 1 copy so we would've had a cute #43 spot 6
Green Posted October 1 Posted October 1 So weird because she used to have better peaks in Canada than the US. She had 10 #1's there including Hot N Cold (which was #3 in the US) and even Never Really Over went top 10 there unlike in the US. Hell even This Is How We Do was a top 10 in Canada Canada: #1 Teenage Dream #1 PRISM #1 Witness #5 Smile #6 One Of The Boys #42 143 USA: #1 Teenage Dream #1 PRISM #1 Witness #5 Smile #6 143 #9 One Of The Boys 2

burninredhot Posted October 1 Posted October 1 i- did she not ship her physicals there how is it so bad considering its top 10 in US
KillingYourCareer Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Canadian chart runs are essentially what the US chart runs would look like organically and without manipulation, so this is very telling 4
Letters From Adi Posted October 1 Posted October 1 OMG, this is lower than even Mariah's Charmbracelet (#30)

KillingYourCareer Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Just now, Matchatea said: Help?! Wait is it bc a lot of album variants don't ship? So many variants are US-exclusive to boost chart positions there. Same with the UK and Ireland - it isn't unusual to see an album go top 5 in the UK and barely top 50 in Ireland. Labels only bother with the bigger market.
gab00 Posted October 1 Posted October 1 This is very crazy like she MUST have some fans in Canadá can't believe she didnt even make it top 20 + isnt Canada super white I mean how many urban albums can be above it it's just plain terrible.
LoveInStereo Posted October 1 Posted October 1 This emboldens me to say what I've been thinking since they announced that she went #6 in the US. The label mass purchased digital albums & you can't convince me otherwise. 143 IRL getting released at the midnight hour with the ugliest cover I've possibly ever seen & literally 0 exclusive content (Tay puts out soundboard recordings that are new: Rock In Rio was professionally live-streamed!) - no fan was buying that ****. Yet she suddenly catapults up the chart. Make it make sense. Happy to see my country put her in her rightful place. This was a bomb, period 1

As much as I still think 143 tanked, at least in Toronto (the most populated city in the country by a wide margin), rap & R&B is a lot more popular than pop

It debuted at #16 in Germany, but at #8 in Austria.

legendlavigne Posted October 1 Posted October 1 When I checked yesterday I thought it had to be a mistake
naval23 Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Nahhh this has to be a mistake omfg - this is the same country where "Wide Awake" was a 3 week #1, Hot N Cold was a w week #1 charting for over a year and Waking Up In Vegas was a #2 smash @Reverse Warholian
