Katy had 3 #2 albums post Prism in Australia. Did they show taste?

Witness: #2 (Peak), Weeks in Top 10: 7

Smile: #2 (Peak), Weeks in Top 10: 4

143: #2 (Peak), Weeks in Top 10: 1* (currently Top 10)

Why did Australaia go so hard for Katy? (Let's remember Rise also went #1 there post Prism) and was her 4th and final #1 there after "I Kissed a Girl", "California Gurls" and "Roar"

I think you just answered your own question, and the answer is no.

Our country loves slightly generic uplifting pop music, just look at Pink's huge level of success here:suburban:

No shade to Katy I do like her but a lot of her music definitely falls in that category

Australia is responsible for Iggy Azalea, so no. No taste detected

why else do u think she's announcing the tour there first?

she might end up being one of those American pop girls that will stick to international markets only ala Kelly Rowland or Nicole scherzinger
