A picture of a person wearing a light blue swimsuit with cutouts on the cover, a purple fur coat and yellow heels. She is sitting in a beach chair in the sand while holds her sunglasses in her hand. Her black hair is slicked back. She is over a pink background. The cover also features the title of the song ("Cool for the Summer") in Italic letters while the name of the singer (Demi Lovato) is shown under her image. 220px-Chappell_Roan_-_Good_Luck%2C_Babe%21.png

Which lesbian song is more ground-breaking?

Your average person had no idea Cool for the Summer was about hooking up with a woman so it wasn't really risky.

Both songs are great but GLB is definitely bigger.

Both are excellent, but 'Cool For The Summer' kinda feels like lesploitation. Even though it stemmed from a genuine encounter, there's still a male-gaze element to its songwriting.

'Good Luck, Babe' is an authentic heartbreak anthem about a bisexual lover giving in to comp-het pressures, rather than being like "I kissed a girl and I liked it 😏"

CFTS was riskier given Demi was already an established Popstar at that point, making a bisexual/lesbian anthem shortly after coming out. Chappel has been openly a lesbian even prior to GLB so it's not shocking or risky in the slightest.

CFTS is also one of Max Martin's best productions to date, not to mention how unique it is comparing it to the sound of 2015 music, it doesn't sound dated either and Demi as always shines on the track.

GLB however is bigger on a global scale, CFTS will continue to have viral moments here and there but GLB is definitely the bigger song.

She uses double entendres and the whole thing could easily be about any type of forbidden love, not necessarily same sex attraction.

The cherry line is kinda the only clear allusion to anything gay. The body type line could easily mean "I've got the type of body you're attracted to" rather than "We have the same body"

Good Luck babe is obviously much bigger, and it's a great song. I prefer Cool for the Summer though, what a song!

I love both songs, but that Max Martin production just hits different!
