But doesn't nail that look as well as our retired pop icon and legendary racoon Brit on an average day gyrating and fanning her c*ochie with her favourite black vaudeville top hat! You're right! It's a shame we can't compare mugshots because Britney doesn't have one. But she nails the racoon look while Xtina has mastered the Gollum look. So they're both slaying in their own right. Queens. Now let's get back on topic! Why do you think people aren't streaming Xtina's music? It's a shame to see her biggest hits (like those payola'd #1 from her debut) get less streams than Britney's songs that peaked outside the Top 20. You can tell she's trying her hardest to be relevant, but nothing seems to work. 6 4
Anticipating Posted September 29 Author Posted September 29 @A-V-XYZ Hey hun! I see you lurking. Can you please tell us what you think of Xtina's numbers? You were saying Britney's are laughable, so what do you think about Beautiful, Dirrty, Ain't No Other Man, Fighter, etc. all getting less than 100K streams daily? 11
AshleyLovescats887 Posted September 29 Posted September 29 (edited) This thread is genuinely such a good read, please turn this into a book Also Britney is an icon so that's why. Edited September 29 by AshleyLovescats887

She needs the streaming coins for her shein dresses/bikinis, dance lessons, hair transplant (we spy a new bald spot), future child support for whatever married man she chooses to target next, therapy for cyber bullying cancer patients, buying paparazzi pics of her sons she can't see, and since body shaming seems to be condoned here, maybe ozempic since she fat shames everyone including herself, which must be a delight for her plus sized fans! Not the dupes coming out. Ooh they're heated
genio Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Genie In A Bottle doing over 500k wtf, I remember when it was pulling less than 200k not too long ago. It's coming. What A Girl Wants live pulling 500k+ streams is a nice surprise as well.
genio Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Also this whole "solo" thing is stupid. Christina's features are JUST AS WELL her songs, chart wise for sure that is. Britney had more solo songs, while Christina appeared on features that turned out to become huge hits. Why not count them? OP's nerves probably wouldn't be able to handle the outcome. 1,100,000 - Moves Like Jagger 515,000 - Genie In A Bottle 500,000 - What A Girl Wants Live 462,000 - Feel This Moment 233,000 - Say Something 200,000 - Lady Marmalade Suddenly things look very different. They seem to be more on par than whatever you tried to paint. Both have at least 4 songs above or near 500k (Britney has 1 more). OP has always been going through with their shenanigans though. Whatever helps them sleep at night. We have seen the real numbers now. 1 1
Blur Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Kinda makes me wonder if ableism and sexism were rightfully banned from this so called "socially aware" forum, how would this thread look like? 🤔 Less embarrassing, maybe? But to answer the question at hand, Britney is the defining 21st century pop mastodonth + was never a radio darling so her song were never overplayed + has better constructed pop songs with her finger on the pulse of the zeitgeist for more than than 15 years. Her growth in streams, while retired, not playing the game AT ALL and not releasing album for 8 years, should be studied. Maybe when you become so unattainable, you also gain a desirable mystique? As for Christina, so much went wrong in the construction of her career (oversinging to the gods, drastic changes too frequently, breaks that went on too long...), that it's no wonder her career went downhill. Also, and I insist on that, people trust Britney because she's always released albums you can smoothly listen to front to back, while Christina's lack of quality control is the reason why even her magnum opus was reviewed so harshly upon release (even ignoring the sh*t she got for her provocative image, by some critics). 3
Gelato Posted September 30 Posted September 30 xtina's 2nd most streamed song is doing <100k per day? 1

It's beyond obvious there's a mod playing defense for these people. The DMF dupe still being here, these horrible ableist posts constantly going after Britney's mental health because some people can't handle her streaming nunbers. The only time I ever got a "trolling" warning point in the past 2 years was for saying Christina hasn't charted a song on the hot 100 in 10 years which is literal fact and yet the DMF dupe is allowed to troll constantly and say Britney never had success since 1999. People (rightfully) got banned for months after being racist to Beyonce but apparently ableism and sexism (horrible insults about Britney's looks) is fine. And yes, I do bring those posts to the mods attention but these people keep happily posting about Britney "losing" her mental health and her kids. It's egregious. Edited September 30 by Jay07

BravoTangoWhiskey Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Why are people saying the duets/feats are just as much her songs. Trust, nobody would check for Moves Like Jagger or Say Something any less if Xtina wasn't there. Granted Lady Marmelade and the Pitbull song would be more representative of an Xtine draw, the other two would stream just as much without her in the lord's good year of 2024 1
Erreur2 La Nature Posted September 30 Posted September 30 (edited) OP is discussing about music stats while xtina's stans are resorting to disgusting attacks about personnal life. I can't imagine how weak some of these people must be irl to have meltdowns over a streaming comparison. Edited September 30 by Erreur2 La Nature
