and yet one is retired and limited to twirling and typing like an imbecile on social media, looks like a ratchet Karen, extremely confused and in desperate need of guidance; while the other one is celebrating 25 years of her debut album, just gave her fans a LIVE EP record to promote that, just finished a residency in Vegas and is living happily ever after with her fiance and kids. You can have a gazillion Spotify numbers and keep the Retireney plans. Xtina fans can have a sane artist to stan and enjoy today, and in the future. 😘

Dirrty only doing 72k is such a shame, it's a pop classic in my house.. Literally one of the best pop tracks from the 00s

But, yeah, Toxic is a giga classic atp

"Dirrrty" is objectively one of the best R&B/Pop songs to come out of the 2000's.

Xtina's voice flows across the beat like nobody's business. I went clubbing last weekend and the DJ started playing some 00's throwbacks - when this came on, the crowd was HYPE.

The fact that it's getting below 100K streams is psychotic to me. :rip:

Because it's sad when you're part of a fanbase that has nothing left to celebrate but numbers of old hits; and yet you try to come for another fanbase when you know damn well, that no matter what you say about numbers, neither you or your fav. are in a place to attack/degrade another female artist or her fans to feel better about yours. Hell even Gwen and Fergie fans, at this point, can have an upper hand in an argument against a Retireney fan. 💔

Fyi, I love Britney, but yeah, reality check.

And we're back to ableism and sexism. If you really didn't care, you wouldn't embarrass yourself like this :bird:

I say this as someone who watches TV/Film more than I listen to music: A lot of music cross-generation longevity is through syncs now in the streaming era.

I have barely heard Christina Aguilera in anything I've seen in the last several years. If younger people aren't listening to radio, and aren't seeking it out themselves, how are they supposed to hear it?

I've heard Britney's music in indie films (famously, Spring Breakers Everytime cover did wonders) and popular weekly procedurals on broadcast network tv.

That's because Xtina owns her masters and is conscientious about approving songs for use. If her label owned them her music would be greenlit for TV/movies/commercials way more.

I didn't attack anyone, I just think that comments about her mental health are really unnecessary and also kinda shows that you aren't really making the point you think you are because you wouldn't have to resort to that.

Because you can't argue with stan numbers(less harmful) you resort to mental illness insults and degradation.

Makes perfect sense!

Ik it's a club classic for me too, it's like Gimme More, Crazy In Love, and randomly Rude Boy (my local gay club plays this every time I've been, there's better Rihanna club songs but I'm not complaining)

I say this as someone in their 30s: how old do you have to be to still care about this specific fan war?

there are 7 stans left in nostalgia combined from both sides that participate on it. if it was a 'greater' fan-war maybe it would be a little less embarrassing.

The gap between Genie and the rest is insane, RCA really does not care about their veterans :rip:

Now that both ladies hit 25 years of their debut album I truly hope this "war" ends in 2024. Happy for my fave...I do wish Xtina's songs did better.

I personally enjoy What a girl wants, Genie and Fighter (in that order).

Let's end this "war" on their 25th anniversary year.

It's time!

Happy for our good sis Brit! It's the one good thing left in her life.  She needs the streaming coins for her shein dresses/bikinis, dance lessons, hair transplant (we spy a new bald spot), future child support for whatever married man she chooses to target next, therapy for cyber bullying cancer patients, buying paparazzi pics of her sons she can't see, and since body shaming seems to be condoned here, maybe ozempic since she fat shames everyone including herself, which must be a delight for her plus sized fans!

Britney was always bigger musically so it's not that surprising more of her music has stood the test of time better.

Also toxic is the GOAT song because it feels more genuine and autobiographical. Brit loves staying intoxicated and allowing toxic men into her life and she keeps the GP entertained with the circus that is her life! Who doesn't love an authentic discography
