There is a certain Xtina fan/troll in here trying to paint Britney as a Willa Ford level of flop and that's what triggered this thread. 7 3

JennyWayne Posted September 29 Posted September 29 The other thread must've hit a nerve. I guess. Can we accept that both of these artists are relics of the Y2K era and move on already 1
Jay07 Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Interesting. Didn't Xtina just have an entire special promoting her first album while Britney has been retired and twirling in her mansion for years? I guess you can't beat organic demand 4 8

Can we accept that both of these artists are relics of the Y2K era and move on already I think I detected the Monster who thinks Pop music didn't exist before 2008 and if it did it doesn't matter now. Gen-Z artists citing Britney and Xtina as main inspirations should give you the information you need. 3 1
Migs Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Because the superior act won. Go and ask somebody from the alfa generation if they know Christina Aguilera. They don't. 6 1
Xtripped Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Not Op failing for a thread made by a monster Anyway, obviously doing thosd numbers with that huge spotify support, not even new songs receive this amount of playlisting. Playlist reach: Toxic 109m BOMT 93m OIDIA 92m GM 72m GIAB 41m Beautiful 20m Dirrty 16m WAGW 15m 1 3 1
Wicked Posted September 29 Posted September 29 I say this as someone who watches TV/Film more than I listen to music: A lot of music cross-generation longevity is through syncs now in the streaming era. I have barely heard Christina Aguilera in anything I've seen in the last several years. If younger people aren't listening to radio, and aren't seeking it out themselves, how are they supposed to hear it? I've heard Britney's music in indie films (famously, Spring Breakers Everytime cover did wonders) and popular weekly procedurals on broadcast network tv. 5

Yeahhhh sure. It's crazy how every first day of the month the "interest" and "demand" change. Some months is Circus then Womanizar, but this month was Slave. Keep dreaming honey. 1
