Diet Pepsi Posted September 29 Posted September 29 PITUSA is bigger but I think The Climb is more acclaimed & loved 3
Malkuth Posted September 29 Posted September 29 (edited) Obviously Party In the USA. It's become a mini national anthem in the US it seems like. Her other songs just don't compare to that. Very few pop songs in general achieve that. Honestly I'm surprised more pop stars haven't tried for it. There was California Gurls and Empire State of Mind shorty afterwards for their respective states I guess. Edited September 29 by Malkuth
SoldierofLove Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Everyone becomes a US citizen for 3 minutes and 23 seconds when PITUSA comes on!
Rotunda Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Have you ever been at a Nashville bar/house party when PITUSA comes on?
MusicLoverDude Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Absolutely PITUSA. It's both nostalgic for millennials and a modern classic for everyone else all at the same time.
-brian Posted September 29 Posted September 29 PITUSA is unironically a legendary song that has become a part of American culture
Rihinvention Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Party In The USA will live on forever through 4th of July parties, much like All I Want For Christmas Is You. The other 3 songs just exist in the context. They were big when they were big, but they won't be timeless in the way that PitUSA is. 1
laqqinq Posted September 29 Posted September 29 (edited) Most commercially successful 1. Flowers 2. Wrecking Ball Most beloved/classic; longevity/longterm successful (GP) Party in the U.S.A. Empire State of Mind was created in Feb 2009 so it was not really capitalizing on PITUSA or anything In general it is really hard to make a song for a region and people getting behind. Katy, Jay Z and Miley managed to do it and it's commendable.
