Your obsession with Carti is getting out of hand. That's not his "last song" to be compared to an actual The Weeknd single, it was literally just him dropping the full version of a snippet that was already over a year old as a gift for the fans to celebrate the album announcement  it's like a preview of what will actually happen when he drops his album with brand new songs....

Very obvious this is the direction Abel needs to go sonically 

 

He and Max are tapped out similar to the way Taylor and Jack are. Both pairs are fine periodically, but they have both pushed the other as far as they can go sonically 

 

People clearly want urban Weeknd back and not the synth pop sound he has been doing for half a decade now
