Velvet Night Posted September 27 Posted September 27 Such sad news, she was a wonderful actress but also just seemed like a really lovely lady. One of those stalwarts of film and TV that I just assumed would be around forever! Rest in peace 4
Blackout2006 Posted September 27 Posted September 27 I gasped when I found out the news. She was a legend. RIP :(
livelikemusic Posted September 27 Posted September 27 This one hurts. RIP to a true Lady. An icon in every sense of the word. Rest easy, Dame Maggie Smith.
Achilles. Posted September 27 Posted September 27 (edited) One of my all time favorites and my second most watched actor of all time. I can't deal with this. Highly recommend her Oscar winning performances in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and California Suite, as well her consecutive BAFTA winning turns in A Private Function, The Lonely Passion of Judith Hearne and A Room With A View. And Gosford Park, which was the basis of her character in Downton Abbey. Deeper in her filmography than even that, she's really fun in the screwball comedy Hot Millions.
