JoeAg Posted September 26 Posted September 26 I know OldTRL had a few threads about this but I think it's time for a new one, what with spooky season coming up. I've been compiling a playlist for the past hour of songs I find creepy (and yes I included one of my own songs cause it sounds creepier than I remembered it sounding when I made it lol) here are some highlights I've added: anyway, what are y'all's favorite songs that creep you out? it can be because of lyrics, general vibe, production, melody, arrangement, or all of the above, or something else entirely! don't be afraid to post songs of any genre 2
Cheers Posted September 26 Posted September 26 A lot of The Weeknd's earlier material creeps me out considering it's about getting girls drugged/drunk and then sleeping with them or running trains on them. Ex: his song Initiation. All while he was friends with Diddy. One of his friends was also arrested for human trafficking and he was under the XO Label for years He also was behind The Idol which is… 5 3

I vibe sooo hard to this production" good recommendation for sure

Anyway, my pick would be this one: The fact that she really went through and that it's an a capella song this makes it so much harder to get through. I remember hearing (I forgot where) her talk about how she wrote this, and how she included the stuff about "You can laugh" and seeing Barbados because that's really what she was thinking about when it happened to her. It gives me chills. Edited September 26 by LovingDays 2 1
Zeferino Posted September 26 Posted September 26 It was like 4 AM the first time i listened to it 💀 it scarred me for life; it's just the instrumentation, an interesting arrangement. don't their music that much but i love this cover Got me into Egon Schiele 1 3
Album Leak Posted September 26 Posted September 26 (edited) I love the songs but I can't listen to them unless I'm in the right mood. Edited September 26 by Album Leak 1
Uncatena Posted September 26 Posted September 26 A song about being so obsessed with your lover that you want to rip their skin off and wear it. 2

The Host of Seraphim in the Baraka film is far disturbing than the song itself, especially that last shot of those young children. Edited September 26 by NickAurora
Worm Posted September 26 Posted September 26 More disturbing than scary, but the alzheimers album freaks me out more than anything: 2 1

This is honestly the only track from ANTI that I skip. It's just so creepy and eerie to me, but it's probably because Abel wrote it Hamburger Lady is low key a bop though Edited September 26 by itshyolee 1
Jotham Posted September 26 Posted September 26 This is a song they play every morning in the capital of North Korea.
YourNumber1Witch Posted September 26 Posted September 26 This song is pure horror. From the lyrics, to the insane detail in the sound design, to the subject matter… easily one of the most disturbing songs to me, which makes it a favorite. 2 1
