It's so sad. As a day one Cassie fan who's followed her career pretty closely I always did find it strange how she released so little music despite having a relationship with her label head. However I was absolutely shocked when her lawsuit came out to be honest. I was used to defending her against trolls on gossip blogs who called her lazy/untalented/an opportunistic model for not releasing music; but the reality of why she could never release music was so much more brutal.

 

I'm glad she's doing so much better now and hope that Dawn and the countless other victims get the justice they deserve and Diddy rots forever.

I never said that nobody knew about Diddy or Harvey……..but for most people in the entertainment industry who caught wind of goings on it was more than likely loose rumours about orgies etc as these men had a very public image that differed from the evil they committed behind doors.

 

I wish that people on TikTok would listen to what the victims have to say instead of believing TikTok psychics and going off on tangents about the death of *insert dead celebrity here*,  but most people seem to unfortunately want a media circus instead of the truth.

I agree the B/J witch hunt specifically might be dumb and futile and there's plenty others that people could and should be putting heat on instead but at the end of the day this will all go away in their next news cycle, it won't have any effect on them. It's just that the silence from everybody is defeaning. Meanwhile the victims are all very real and will still be suffering the consequences from the abuse and that silence forever. Hardly anyone's condemned him either, close associates, all the artists who just collabed on his album last year, it's disgusting.

Finally, a fair, well considered post in the midst of wild, unfounded speculation. Do I think rumours of orgies and possible abuse were prevalent in the industry? Yes. Do I think all these celebrities are morally compromised to keep associating with Diddy even though they were probably aware of what was happening behind the scenes? Yes and I think the same about all the actors that kept working with Weinstein even though they knew what was happening there but all these people eventually put furthering their career above any moral considerations. Do I believe the wild conspiracies about Jay getting people killed? No and it's not lost on me that it's the biggest and most insistent Beyonce haters, including the OP, that are spreading them under the guise of "asking questions".

I agree, what I said about Jay Z is that he has obviously done sketchy stuff but it might be mild or severe, we don't know.

It's so disgusting how they keep saying that about Aaliyah, it wasn't only Aaliyah that died that day either, 9 people died. Makes zero sense. They also say Beyonce wouldn't be big if Aaliyah was alive, the Beyonce (Destiny's Child) who had released Independent Women, Survivor and Bootylicious in the year leading up to her death. It's so dumb. 
 

Aaliyah already denied anything with Jay, so did Foxy. It's like talking to a wall though.
