I agree in the States it 100% depends who you ask since it feels rare to have that one song smash and remain relevant the whole year anymore. Either Lose Control, A Bar Song, Not Like Us, Espresso, Birds of a Feather... probably even the Post/Morgan song & Beautiful Things. I'd personally pick Not Like Us because Kendrick's takedown of Drake was the biggest moment for the culture of this year, but it also held its own on the charts without the controversy.
