superben Posted September 25 Posted September 25 If anything, Somebody That I Used to Know was the quintessential of 2012. I believe it was a 3-way between Somebody, Call Me Maybe and We Are Young, though. 3
Bubble Tea Posted September 26 Posted September 26 In all seriousness I think it's probably "Good Luck, Babe" that song is huge huge huge and has birthed a new superstar. IDK what the figures are saying but it feels on par to "Espresso" though I'm sure it's not quite that big "Good Luck, Babe" has captured the zeitgeist and sparked more conversations surely. "Espresso" is just like the new "Unholy" a colossal song but it's kinda dumb. 1
CottageHore Posted September 26 Posted September 26 Espresso (and GLB! Or HTG for the gays). Any other answers are pure delusion

It's charted higher than even most big country hits in many other countries. ABS is a global smash.
Le Grande Posted September 26 Posted September 26 I'm working late Cause I'm a swinger i like the way you kiss me kinda too.
Wicked Posted September 26 Posted September 26 There's no monoculture for this to actually be a thing anymore. Not Like Us, A Bar Song (Tipsy), Espresso, Birds of a Feather and now Die With a Smile are all contenders and the answer depends on who you ask. Not Like Us had a lot more attached to it than just music tho. So that's my pick.
