For all my female rap lovers, what are some of your favorite "old school" female rap songs? Can you post some cause I definitely haven't heard all of them but I'm really into this style of music lately.

Here's some of mine:

"I Can Love You" - Mary J. Blige & Lil' Kim

"My Life" - Foxy Brown

Foxy Brown - "No One's"

If you're into hip hop rap, I recommend her first album Let There Be Eve, if you're into more commercial rap, I recommend her third album Eve-Olution, if you like mix of both, I recommend second album Scorpion (it includes her Gwen Stefani hit Let Me Blow Ya Mind as well as her two TikTok hits Who's That Girl and No No No :jonnycat:)

Here's some albums

Eve's first album is a classic. Scorpion is amazing too.

Da Brat's Unrestricted is great imo.

Missy's Supa Dupa Fly is a classic. Insane production. Ahead of its time.

If you like underground hip-hop and more of the "conscious" stuff Bahamadia's Kollage is great.

Jay-Z definitely did her dirty but I love Amil's album All Money is Legal. It has a Beyonce feature..maybe one of Bey's earliest collabs.

Not just female rappers but MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, and Miss Melodie (R.I.P.)'s verses are great
