Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but aren't the Monday Midweek updates still sales only? Cus I fear it'll drop HARD once streams come into the picture.

the uk is unusually focused twds sales because it has some v unusual streaming rules (the biggest two tracks on any album are massively discounted). this tends to mean that first week physical sales can punt something into the top 5 and then the album often bombs in the second week.

I'm affraid you might be setting your fave up for another red update. I believe midweek updates in the UK are always inflating the debut positions of songs/albums because of these only including sales.

Somebody lied to the UK charts several times and told them that Katy Perry was still fly when she's nothing like that. She's nothing of the sort.

Mostly agree with you but Katy is such a fanbase driven act now that I highly doubt 143 is staying top five by the end of the week. Unless she has more variants dropping throughout the week, I think we're gonna see her start falling a lot with each subsequent daily update.

 

If the sales are strong I could see her clinging to the lower end of the top ten tho, but I have doubts. She's totally N/A anywhere on UK Spotify.

Gurl that is only the first look chart..with sales from fri to sun..  it is unlikely to stay at 4. Prob 7 or 8 cos sales will drop off as the week goes on

Someone needs to educate these twitter accounts on how to read things..

Pretty sure 143 will end up in the lower region of the top 10 by Friday. 1+4+3=8 so maybe there.
