Amazing news. I see a comeback for her, maybe not to huge mainstream levels but bigger than she's been since 2017.

I'm curious about what a distribution deal implies. I've seen most independent artists with their own imprint signing a distribution deal too. This sounds like great news!

It's kinda the job of a 'classic' label, distributing music all over the world in physical form, and lately, sending the music to streaming platforms (and some playlists too). The artists still own the masters while they can stop worrying about making release strategies on each country, with the language and legal barriers that it carries

This marks Kesha's first distribution deal and gives her full creative control and ownership of her work.

AHHHH, WE WON :jonny5:

The POWER these words have:

Quote

"I am proud to announce this partnership for the distribution of my music through Kesha Records," said Kesha in a statement. "My name has become synonymous with transparency, integrity, and safety, and I want to ensure that these values are upheld for myself and any future artists signed to my label. Music has the power to connect the world, and I aspire for my work to be a beacon of light and goodness. I am excited to take control of my narrative and rewrite my story in the music business."

@bearman I think this is the original source from your article in the OP:
