Jay07 Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Most pop music is basic and that's fine. It's designed to be pleasant and easily digestible. 1
Raphy23 Posted September 24 Posted September 24 There's Ariana sounding songs, there's Olivia sounding ballads, and a few Dua disco type songs. I love the album, but I don't love HER yet. Taste is the biggest earworm on the album. There's something nostalgic about her vocals on it. :
TipToe Posted September 24 Posted September 24 I've tried to get into her songs a few times and there's nothing there, no soul, her voice puts me to sleep. But i can see why some people like her, she serves a romantized/old school kind of pop gworl template. It's pretty to look at and fuels some fantasies on the gheys/women.
Ewan Chaos Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Basic isn't always a bad thing imo. And she actually brought most of her newest album to a higher level with the personality, songwriting, and picking stronger-produced songs than her previous albums. Emails to me was a basic album that was mostly bad.
