glitch Posted September 22 Posted September 22 Barbie Tingz, originally the joint lead single from Queen alongside Chun-Li, didn't end up making the final tracklist. In the song she says: Quote Want to see what ******* do when they lose the blue-print I mean the pinkprint, ho, let it sink in I spoke to Jay the other day, he's still the kingpin He's still the only ***** that I woulda signed to If I ain't sign to Wayne perfectly designed crew Clearly since writing this song, her relationship with Jay Z has soured somewhat. Do you think the song's exclusion from its parent album has something to do with the Jay-Z praise? Bonus: This wasn't the first time Nicki praised Jay. On her song "Want Some More" she said Quote You seen that list, it was me, Baby, Jay-Z, and Diddy
KatyPrismSpirit Posted September 22 Posted September 22 Nicki is low key envious of Jay-Z because she wanted to be under his management. seeing how well organized Megan is (even tho she keeps on underperforming) just adds fuel to the fire. 2 1
mons†er Posted September 22 Posted September 22 No, it was because 'Chun-Li' was the bigger single. 'Barbie Tingz' is the better song and video but the GP didn't understand it or respect it. It's actually one her best flows and raps IMO. Her beef with Jay started when her and Meg fell out.
Princess Aurora Posted September 22 Posted September 22 (edited) I think she should talk to him atp Holding a grudge over Jay-Z isn't worth it Edited September 22 by Princess Aurora
FOCK Posted September 22 Posted September 22 They were on respectful terms during the writing of Queen. She's discussed that she played him LLC - and I believe she was trying to somewhat clear the air or gauge where he stood. He's done nothing but disappoint and sour their relationship bts since & I think the catalyst was blocking her documentary exposing Meek, which was a massive slap in the face coming from someone she respected. I find it interesting that it was that song in particular that she mentioned running by him tho. 2 1 2 3
Popboi. Posted September 22 Posted September 22 She threw both singles at the wall hoping one would stick, Chun-Li did and BT didn't so it got the boot.
Illuminati Posted September 22 Posted September 22 I think it was because Chun-Li was made sorta spontaneously and she replaced it
kimberly Posted September 22 Posted September 22 She clearly adored Jay Z. The whole The Pinkprint album is an homage to Jay's The Blueprint. Unfortunately she's her own worst enemy & likes to burn bridges for fun.
