A Million Lights Posted September 21 Posted September 21 (edited) Look me and my friends just saw Katy's Rock in Rio, we were 30 people or something and she did good! But… she basically copied Gaga's Chromatica era. I thought she was original? Edited September 21 by A Million Lights 1
MP3 Posted September 21 Posted September 21 I don't think Gaga owns the entire robotic/droid/superhuman aesthetic but keep bashing her 4 1 1
Eternium Posted September 21 Posted September 21 No. It's a popular aesthetic that has been used by plenty of artists well before either one of them. Right now, Aespa are more heavily associated with it than any other artist. And the origin of the imagery goes back to films like Metropolis and Barbarella 1 3
Doctor Dick Posted September 21 Posted September 21 No, just like she didn't copy its chart performance. 3

TheCheshireCat Posted September 22 Posted September 22 With peace and love, literally every "aesthetic" has been done by one of the pop girls at this point, especially when they used to do a whole new vibe each album or sometimes even each single.
SharGaga Posted September 22 Posted September 22 (edited) One of the interludes visuals at Rock in Rio really looked liked the Chromatica 1 interlude during Chromatica Ball. I mean the visuals that come before Act 1. Almost a complete copy in fact. It's not surprising really. Edited September 22 by SharGaga
formlessminutiae Posted September 22 Posted September 22 I am inclined to agree, and she did it with zero substance. Truly a hollow replica. It could certainly be a coincidence, but any keen observer can draw the parallels. 1
LittleStarmen Posted September 22 Posted September 22 Katy Copied Gaga who copied Arca who copied Sophie

Yes she's copied as much as she could cause she's out of ideas. This talentless woman should retire right now and leave us all alone, we don't need more flops and her fans are basically turning off from her or disappearing from the internet
