Heldenzeit Posted September 20 Posted September 20 So she found a sound that works for her and she enjoys making? I hate this stupid argument. 3
Dolce Vita Posted September 20 Posted September 20 (edited) she has a brand of pop that's consistent and i enjoy it, but i agree that it would benefit her greatly to expand the soundscape. you can tell she'd be way more loved if she took some risks because she's like 70% on the way to greatness, but 30% stuck in the khia asylum. her melody's are consistently amazing and catchy, it's the production that tends to hold her back from where she needs to be in 2024 Edited September 20 by Dolce Vita 1
glitch Posted September 20 Author Posted September 20 49 minutes ago, Kylie Jenner said: Kelly Clarkson, Meghan Trainor, Carly Rae Jepsen, Zara Larsson, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj… Apart from Carly and maybe Kelly, these people are all lashed regularly for their lack of creativity and similar sounding music
Solaria Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Spot A Fake is a chop I agree. It sounds like a Heaven & Hell reject and as if she repurposed Who's Laughing Now? I disagree that all her songs sound the same though. Diamonds & Dancefloors was a commercial bomb but I could genuinely hear that she was carving a very specific sound for herself. If she had expanded on the more dark pop / eurodance elements of Dancing's Done (which ironically enough, she mentioned as a reference point for her new album ) she could carve a good lane for herself. I feel like Atlantic kind of pushed her to release this because songs with slander in them or villainy are really in trend right now.
West Coast Posted September 24 Posted September 24 I tried Stockholming it but nothing worked. idk why she changed the verses to that clunky a** version in the final edit of the song
