Burn Posted September 20 Posted September 20 (edited) Not sure why Gaga stans are getting so brave in here when Gaga has lent on Bradley Cooper, Ariana Grande and Bruno Mars to get all of her last hits. They like to make a point about how Gaga did charity for Bey with Telephone, but I wonder if they've ever considered that Telephone was a hit because of Bey, because if we're looking at who's had to rely on collaborators to score hits between Gaga and Bey, I know who I'd choose. Alexa, play recent and solo hits Texas Hold 'Em, Cuff It and Break My Soul. Edited September 20 by Burn 12 1 1
Mr. Stratus Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Bey isn't Gaga - she doesnt add global smashery to a collab Shame cause Miley was in 'flowers-mania' at the time 1
Ricardo1993 Posted September 20 Posted September 20 It's a good song but unfortunately Beyonce doesn't seem to care about doing actual promotion for her new music. She has visuals locked in her computer that she refuses to release.

And now the same exact thing applies to their fav Love Bey but Telephone is still her latest song to make it to the IFPI. And that was *checks notes* 15 years ago. Pheromosa Posted September 20 Posted September 20 No promo, no video, no live performances Beyonce thinks these things aren't needed or at helpful. I think she's making a mistake but she won't be convinced
Digitalism Posted September 20 Posted September 20 (edited) Because Bey and Miley are probably the laziest with promo. And they didn't pay for spotify autoplay like other recent collabs Edited September 20 by Digitalism 1 1
SweetOreosOfHeaven Posted September 20 Posted September 20 I honestly don't get it either. The song is good and it's a big collab between two pop icons. I think part of it is it didn't feel like a single: no video, no performances. However it's pretty clear that Cowboy Carter, as a whole, didn't connect with the public for whatever reason. Even THE was very frontloaded. 1

II Most Wanted was released Mar 2024 with the album. Miley had already release several singles after Flowers that flopped . Gaga stans as usual You all really shouldn't be that brave latching on to a Bruno Mars assisted song smashing. Edited September 20 by Rafael . 2 1 2
LVP Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Liddos are so brave again after DWAS. Let me wait for G7 reception 1 2

Yall are so annoying . It's a great song guys... but I hate to break it to you but it will always have that feeling that Bruno Mars is carrying its success to much bigger heights. The song SCREAMS Bruno Mars and he's one of the biggest hitmakers of his generation. A GP darling. She flopped hard with Stupid Love and ran to Ariana for safety. She's about to launch a new pop era so she attached her self to a safe hit with Bruno Mars first. Just keep it down because you all are really not in the position to be dragging anyone so bravely as you are now

Selegend Posted September 20 Posted September 20 this song is such a snooze one of the worst from CC, never got the praise GP clearly agreed with me tho.

The Gaga comparisons are indeed annoying but let's not try it when ARTUW, Bloody Mary and even JUDAS are outstreaming all three of these as recent as this week. Also crazy to say Telephone didn't also smash because of Gaga at the height or her commercial peak Y'all love to pin these collabs against Gaga when 1) artist like Bey have double the amount of collabs and 2) Gaga has equally contributed to the success of her collabs (see: Gaga and Bruno being side-by-side in monthly listeners with DWAS). The fact that a f*cking actor who had never released music before ASIB is brought up against Gaga is just 3
TipToe Posted September 20 Posted September 20 This sing gimmes era finale vibe, like if CC were a blockbuster era it could have been the 6th singel and a cute hit. Good sing but not really all that imo
