This is revolting to watch.

Posted

Official number at 182 killed now, unofficial reports sit at +200.

Numbers expected to significantly rise as Israel is planning to strike targets in the Bekaa' region (Eastern Lebanon, strikes so far have been concentrated in the Southern region).

This is so ******* depressing to watch unfold.

Posted

Israel is planning to use the same tactics that they used in Gaza in Lebanon and no one is going to say a word to them. They said this too. They said they wanted to make Beirut the next Gaza and here we are

Posted

Reportedly the number has increased to 274 killed as of now. Strikes + rescue efforts (when and where possible) are still ongoing, so the numbers will jump much higher.

Rockets from Lebanon have been intercepted for hours now, the booms are surreal af. Cannot imagine what Lebanese people who have nowhere to hide + anything to defend them + experience actual bombings are feeling right now.

All of this because Netanyahu and his freaks refuse to end the war in Gaza, and the U.S. giving them unconditional support. The next time I hear ANYTHING about Harris being the lesser of two evils, I'm gonna lose it. **** all of them.

I feel like I am losing my mind watching this happen with barely a peep from the West.

And this is the system we think is worth holding up? Vote blue, no matter who, I guess.

Reading the death toll is up to 275 now.

I'm sick to my stomach. My parents and best friend still live in Beirut and I feel hopeless and powerless.

I hope I will be alive the day Israel and its allies get sued for their genocide.

i cannot believe we are seeing them destroying a 2nd country country in less than 1 year

So I guess we're heading for another genocide in Lebanon then huh? :biblio:

Posted

Another genocide in Lebanon but now the US will be fully involved by making it fully known that they're sending troops over there to help Israel with their genocide.

Maybe I won't vote for Harris after all. I'm not really sure what more I can do so that my government is no longer complicit in this. I've protested and nothing has changed. What more can I do.

Im not quite sure what the gameplan is. "De-escalation through escalation"?

Hezbollah has been firing rockets into Israel since October and was part of the barrage from Iran in April. So I get Israel wanting it to stop, but this is such an extreme response. If the plan is to  bomb southern Lebanon so hard it forces Hezbollah to retreat back to the Litani River like in 2006, im just not sure thats at all feasable.

Edit: That's an extremely clincal view btw. Too many innocents are going to die from this. Biden has no backbone :gaycat6:
