Moonlight Nation Posted September 21 Posted September 21 (edited) 3 hours ago, Mr. Blue_Shirt said: I'm just glad that this album truly solidified Lukasz Gottwald as a has-been of pop. No mainstream pop artists from now on are lining up to work with him based on the CRITICAL and COMMERCIAL BOMB of an album that is 143 Go back to Tyson Trax where you came from! As entertaining as the lashings and GIFs have been, this is the most important consequence of "143" 's complete failure. It showed how the public and journalists have finally become more willing to condemn artists for platforming and enabling bad people in this industry, even if mainly limited to the pop world at the moment. And of course, "143" exposed just how much of a washed up hack Dr. Luke has become in the past few years, also confirming Doja Cat's implications of him taking credits for "Planet Her" songs he wasn't involved in. Katy really sacrificed any semblance of morals and destroyed the genuine goodwill she had accumulated for the most derivative and generic music of her career. Doubt Luke will be getting any high-profile production and writing duties after this disaster. Associating with him should hopefully become chart poison and guaranteed to significantly damage one's public image. Good riddance. There are far too many talented (and unproblematic) people behind-the-scenes - established and up-and-coming, for artists to still view someone like Dr. Luke as valuable. It's already 02:45am in my time zone, so I'll just leave by announcing Kylie Minogue's performance at this very eventful 143Gala afterparty. Digging out a hidden gem, here she is performing a piano rendition of "What Kind of Fool (Heard All That Before)", in tribute to all the disappointed (former) Katy fans and pop enthusiasts who had enough of giving her chances after this era. Moonlight Nation Posted September 21 Posted September 21 (edited) Double post. I don't wanna hear your reasons I'm not giving you another chance [...] Whenever I hear your music Singing the same old tune You're so sure that I can't refuse it But don't you speak too soon What kind of fool do you take me for? Don't wanna see your face no more You can say you'll be true, I can trust in you But I heard all that before Edited September 21 by Moonlight Nation

Girl, yall say this each time an album gets panned. Poptimism is not dead after Taylor/Dua got lashed earlier this year, and it SURELY won't happen because of a Katy album of all artists. She has always been PANNED. This time the material was just miles worse + she has Luke executive producing this project so the lashings were gonna be brutal. Sabrina's Short n Sweet sitting at 82 (UNIVERSAL ACCLAIM) is proof that poptimism is alive and well. I'm saying this as someone who enjoys more than half of the album, but we all know it sure as hell does not deserve that score. If Katy released it, it would be lucky to scrap a 60. hallucinate Posted September 21 Posted September 21 (edited) the only thing that katy benefited from this era is hopefully AWARENESS. i believe her career is over and she'll never have a proper comeback but at least this disaster of an era will lead to her making smart decisions in the future and prevent her career from sinking even more edit: well unless she continues to be stupid Edited September 21 by hallucinate 2
