Daddy Posted September 22 Posted September 22 As an OG Katy Perry hater I appreciate the banner. OT: 34 4
wastedpotential Posted September 22 Posted September 22 I know there's a long tradition of not working or publishing things on Sundays but I AM going through 143 bashing withdrawals and have little regard for the sanctity of a holy day, I need that P4K article NEOW before I snap 1 4

Some critics (an I) agree that the album is not that bad, BUT, for being a generic dance album, it definitely falls flat, feels boring, and makes you feel like the music and lyrics are going to absolutely nowhere There is no good song in the album, just like 3 or 4 'decent' songs, and the rest are forgettable 1 1
diemoehre Posted September 22 Posted September 22 Here is a thread of Ajayii reacting to it (just in text), apparently she likes it a lot. https://x.com/perryolasister/status/1837885151646568516
Erreur2 La Nature Posted September 22 Posted September 22 Admins went from locking the thread because of the amount of trolling/attacks to uploading a shady banner 9

Paddy Posted September 22 Posted September 22 I'm calling it now. In 7 years people will be making threads about how ATRL users were too harsh on Katy this era and that the album is a solid one. And the new banner.. so immature tbh. Majority here really is jumping on a bandwagon for the fun of it. 2 1 36

But knowing how the Recording Academy likes to make questionable decisions for attention (see "Yummy" and "abcdefu" getting nominations, the latter at SOTY ), it wouldn't surprise me if "WOMAN'S WORLD" ends up getting nominated for Best Dance Pop Recording. watch them nominate some random ass remix that she doesn't get any credit whatsoever so she can't claim it as hers like when david guetta won for remixing madonnas revolver and she (undeservingly) went home empty handed a kii and a cackle 1

But it definitely not the worst album ever released. The choice of a producer and to work with him was a stupid decision, I'm not justifying that at all, but I still want to listen to Katy despite it just like Harry Potter fans want to enjoy HP despite who wrote it. 1

You can still listen to her, just listen to her non-dr puke stuff like Tucked or Tsunami, those are solid tracks 143 on the other hand is un-salvageable unless you wanna listen to Doechiis verse for two minutes non stop and call that a song i guess
