Slap Posted October 18 Posted October 18 This whole album is such a gift, it feels so surreal hearing the woman who made a comeback in 2001 with Spinning Around and Can't Get You Out Of My Head just out here serving bops. I love it, is it her most daring work? No but I love it for what it is trying to be which is really a bonus album for fans to keep them fed during the tour. 5
Achilles. Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Wow, I lowkey didn't really expect much from this but she really delivered again. It's honestly impressive that she is still cowriting or otherwise acquiring so many quality pop songs this deep into her career. I mean the past few years of her output has just been a relentless stream of pop excellence that speaks to her talents and instincts. I think that she really made the right moves here, in ways that may seem obvious and yet few others would have come up with. Doing a sequel album rather than a rerelease; keeping the Tension name and aesthetic; delving deeper into the sound of Tension's best tracks. She has the mind of a mastermind. On first listen, Taboo and Someone For Me really stand out as instant favorites. But the whole record is pretty strong and flows really well. I was worried about the collabs all being thrown on the end, but it works well for me. Saturday Night is cool and I really like Midnight Ride. I hadn't actually heard My Oh My before because I don't care for the featured acts, so I was kinda dreading that, but it's a fun song! Fortunately, the final collab isn't on my spotify for some reason but I will be hiding the track if it ever shows up. 4 1
Ewan Chaos Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Oh this really is better than Tension I. I probably prefer Padam Padam/Tension title track more than most of the songs here, at least immediately, but the first Tension for me was a little rocky, at least compared to Disco and the fact the best songs were the first two singles. Not sure yet which are my favorite songs! I really like everything though; this is a really consistent release. The deluxe tracks will be swiftly ignored forever unless I'm in the mood to give one or two of them a listen! Edge is still the best of them all and pretty good, MOM is a little overhated but I never have the desire to play it, the Orville song is fine, and the Sia song should have been deleted before it was forced into existence.
ThatGUY Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Top 3 Kiss Bang Bang Diamonds Shoulda Left Ya -- Did Tove have a hand in this album? The lyrics are so Tove coded to me and it pretty much could be a Tove album imo

taylordswift13 Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Bop after bop after bop Kylie keeping us FED Side note - I added Heavenly Body and Drum as bonus tracks to this (hadn't listened previously) and you weren't lying when you said there some of her best songs ever - I'm floored
James_Dean Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Well... better than the og Tension, but it's still pretty basic dance music. Thank god she has a huge replayable catalog. 1 1
shark_heather Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Well ... commercially i dont see these songs going anywhere, but yeah its bop after bop after bop 1
MikeS88 Posted October 18 Posted October 18 If we get further singles, my votes would be for: Someone For Me Good As Gone Hello
shark_heather Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Its really admirable that after so many years she is releasing album after album non stop year after year but this one is a little bit monotone for me without any highs at all Is there any bad song ? No But there isn't any great song as well . Just a record to play on the backround while you clean your house 4 1
shark_heather Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Cannot even be compared to Tension I Padam , Tension , Vegas High , Story , Things we do for love , Hands , Hold on to Now are top tier Anyways i will give it a 2nd try at the gym with my headphones on max vol 4

Someone For Me reminds me of another song. Which one?? I think it's also a Kylie song.

Anthinos Posted October 18 Posted October 18 The album is okay. I think it's on the same level as Tension I. My favorite songs are Hello, Kiss Bang Bang, EOSN, LCA. An album consisting of Padam Padam, Tension, Hello, Kiss Bang Bang, LCA and a few other tracks would be the perfect album for me.
Radical Pessimism Posted October 18 Posted October 18 I'm listening to this right now and it's cute. It's nothing special, though. I'm excited about the tour and how she will build the setlist. 1
