I think the perfect album is a mix of Tension I & II. Glad mother is still successful, but next era I want more hag pop (Roisin Murphy, Jessie Ware, Agnes, Alison Goldfrapp) and give up the tiktok chasing and focus on REAL MUSIC This is still very much real music. And I'm sorry but the term "hag music" is not something I ever want Kylie associated with ever. I want more of a synthopop direction if possible or another indie trippy pop album full of Breathe's give us Impossible Princess 2.0 Edited October 18 by SchmoodRing addition 2
Gladiator Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Playlist of standard tension and Tension II without the featured artists songs is a nice 20 track album. I'm listening to it all for the first time because I'm pretending Tension just came out as well and I love long albums! 5
Mariya Takeuchi Posted October 17 Posted October 17 My ultimate Tension tracklist - Padam Tension Hands Green light Vegas high Taboo Someone for me Good as gone Kiss bang bang Diamonds Hello Dance to the music

I have a feeling once this era is done she's 100% re-releasing all of this together tbh. We need Heavenly Bodies and Drum on streaming. Then i'll make my own album.
Psycho Posted October 17 Posted October 17 The 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 track cvnt punch DTTM is a cute Disco scrap. SLY doesn't fit, it might have been a cute Golden session We deleted Midnight Ride and bop to the other collabs
Supervillain Posted October 17 Posted October 17 My idea of a tracklist: Padam Padam Tension Vegas High Diamonds My Oh My Drum Lights Camera Action Taboo Someone for Me Hello Good as Gone Kiss Bang Bang Heavenly Body Somebody to Love 6
MikeS88 Posted October 17 Posted October 17 (edited) I'd go with (in no order) Padam Padam Things We Do For Love Hold On To Now Tension Lights Camera Action Taboo Good As Gone Someone For Me Kiss Bang Bang Diamonds Still Awake (Hello V.2) Dance To The Music Hello Drum Heavenly Body When You Love Someone Tears Of Joy Edited October 17 by MikeS88

AdrianNicki Posted October 17 Posted October 17 What a time to be alive. I love it so much. This is the type of music I wanted Kylie to make for a long time. I don't know if I like it more than Tension 1 yet but I really had fun and it will be on repeat for a long time for me. I wish some songs were longer, I wish she released more songs from these sessions instead of collabs. I wish she released two separate and cohesive projects instead of two compilations of different ideas but I'm grateful for what we have. Shouldve Left Ya is such a stain on this record though. It sounds like a Golden reject. I don't think I will come back to this one. Good as Gone, Taboo and Kiss Bang Bang (!!!) are my current top 3 after first listen. I'm not re-doing the tracklist because I love too many songs from Tension I+II and leaks, it would probably be a 30 track project.

AdrianNicki Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Hopefully, Extension II is coming sooner rather than later. 2

It's one of the few good tracks on TII imo with the change of pace. The rest of the tracks sounds samey as the tracks as TI except with cheaper production on some of them. TI sounds better overall from the initial listen on TII. Same. I prefer this to the 87th Disco reject (Dance to the Music)
Lady Claire Posted October 17 Posted October 17 From T1 i only liked the singles and for T2 i only liked the album tracks I think i'll just blend them and make one perfect album for me
Scheissex Posted October 17 Posted October 17 DO YOU HAVE SOMEONE FOR ME? SOMEONE YOU KNOW TO TAKE ME HOME? THAT'S WHAT I NEED! DO YOU HAVE SOMEONE FOR ME? 2
Saint James Posted October 17 Posted October 17 LCA - a good album opener. It has a sense of urgency that's really fun. Love the vocoder in the extended version. Taboo - an Abba disco bop! fun but a little safe? Someone For Me - catchy. very writing camp'd but i like this style for her. i actually relate to the lyrics of this a lot someone find me a man pls Good As Gone- the chorus is interesting. it's not as generic as the first impression might give. i think this will be a big grower. kind of funny that it sounds like Til Its Gone from Britney Jean. Kiss Bang Bang- omg THIS is more like it in her kylie bag. it's very Femme Fatale Diamonds- i dont like it tbh... the Monday Blues/Fine Wine of this era Hello- when your heart goes hello... it's obvious what this is. it's cute. will be fine on shuffle, not sure if i love it tho. Dance to the Music- cheesy/cheerful/annoying but it feels like classic Kylie more than the others so i dont mind. i keep referencing britney but this reminds me of If I'm Dancing. a blissful nonsense type of pop song. Shoulda Left Ya- the first verse is very Swiftian. i like that style on her, Drum was so good. this one is just okay. EOSN and Midnight Ride are both blacked out for me 3
PaloSanto Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Midnight Ride is misplaced but at least is good Dance Alone on the other hand... 1 1

I have taken to calling the new Hello Still Awake (was either that or Good Mistake) just to differentiate between that and Original Hello. what is Winter like?

Saint James Posted October 17 Posted October 17 honestly i think My Oh My WOULD have been the best song and commercial success here had it not been butchered so badly. a shame. it's not too late to fix it Kylie! 5
Freaky Prince Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Sounds like she really wanted Ava's nachos after one listen LCA, Taboo and Good As Gone are cute - which isn't something hard to achieve compared to the rest - but the rest are just so bland and disposable. Quick lil demos. I don't know what's happening with her, I'll need her to take a few years off and create something exceptional and note-worthy again, these writing camped songs are not cutting it. 2
