what's the point, Nintendo? nobody is playing Fadword anymore. It was more of a cute novelty that didn't stand the test if time. You should focus on releasing a new remake of Pokemon Sapphire/Rubby instead. Or White/Black .

Most likely to dissuade future game developers from doing what Palworld did. Pokemon and Nintendo have to protect their intellectual property.

A patent lawsuit, jeez  I could somewhat agree with a copyright claim, but patent is so much farther-reaching for the video game industry.

 

Who's to say that greedy Nintendo wouldn't go after any other dev that creates monster games? Monster Hunter series? Dragon Quest Monsters? Digimon? Yokai? Countless other games where you gather monsters from the open world??
