JorgeM Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Someone should tell Dua that nobody cares about her. She has not persona, she is a playlist/radio filler and nothing out that. Popular Post Solaria Posted September 16 Popular Post Posted September 16 She never singled out Taylor. Cheap attempt at a fight. No maam! 39 3
Buffy Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Hm. She doesn't understand Taylor's music at all then. I don't buy or stream Taylor's music for clickbait. Her songs are relatable — most of the times. That's how she grew in popularity and what attracted most of the fan base she has now. Sooooo, I don't think whoever she's talking about is Taylor. Must be someone else. 10 1 4

Popular Post ariananext Posted September 16 Popular Post Posted September 16 (edited) Taylor is the only artist that makes personal music? They just have two opposite approaches. Taylor is all about her career, Dua isn't, she does her job like everybody in the world does, but it's not her whole life like Taylor, who makes it personal and takes it personal. I don't think one is better than the other it's just a matter of priorities and preferences and personally I think Dua's approach is healthier. Taylor is much more successful (than anybody else) but why do yall think everybody wants that? They're all rich, they can all get all they want in real life, most of them are probably happy with their success. Edited September 16 by ariananext 35 2
Popular Post Lady Claire Posted September 16 Popular Post Posted September 16 And she's 100% right. Not every song has to be personal. I couldn't care less for the personal lives of my favorite artists, if they're happy and healthy then this is all that matters. The rest is all of their own business and they don't own anything to anyone. You don't have to create rElAtAbLe lyrics to make art. On top of that, Dua is hot, rich and seems to have an amazing life. Why write depressing, super sad songs if she isn't? 32 8
burninredhot Posted September 16 Posted September 16 ntm on Ms Lipa cuz I do enjoy one or two songs from Radical Optimism but her music is as surface level as it gets which is not a good thing either. This is clearly a weak attempt at defending herself from haters who have already pointed that out about her 2 1
WEEKND Posted September 16 Posted September 16 This narrative is kinda tired. Fortnight, Anti Hero and Cruel Summer aren't overtly personal. 2 1
Popular Post LustSpell Posted September 16 Popular Post Posted September 16 This is a very universal statement I don't think she's shading anyone specifically 24 10
Archetype Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Just now, Buffy said: Hm. She doesn't understand Taylor's music at all then. I don't buy or stream Taylor's music for clickbait. Must be someone else. Tbh a lot of artists do this, not just Taylor, but yes Taylor is most famously known by the GP to do this. Not blaming her because she is free to write about whatever she wants, and people clearly love listening to and enjoying her music. @OP I actually respect her stance on this and what she tried to do with Radical Optimism. It might not have connected with a lot of people due to that exact reason, but sometimes it's okay to be less personal. 1
piotrert Posted September 16 Posted September 16 just say your life is boring and there is nothing to write about. it might be a shock for some, but most people don't care about who songs are, they care if they can relate to the song. it's about feelings/emotions/situations that can be applied to someone's life 6
Sugar-Rush Posted September 16 Posted September 16 Her comment doesn't just apply to Taylor though, but points were made. 1 1 2
