Will Dua Lipa wait 3-4 years again to release her next album?

Sis might switch up if she gets bored. My hope is we get something new right at the end of tour (2026). Regardless, I love RO and will be attending RO tour :celestial5:

Yes. I can't seem to find the interview right now but it was from like 2021-2022 and she said exactly that :rip:

This is such a weird mindset to have as an artist — you're not supposed to have everything planned out in advance, it's not a competition…  :rip:

But it'll probably keep her sane.

Covid changed album timelines. Albums Movies series etc all take longer in between now

If you look at her schedule, she'd only really have Dec- Feb to record that. Can't see it.

At the end of the tour she'll be two months past thirty and worth squillions so it's her choice what she does really. Maybe other avenues will take her in different directions from the tour/album/tour/album treadmill she's effectively been on since she was 18?

Oh I'm not saying what she will do. I'm saying what she should do

Katy's breaks are 3-4 years on average and look how that's panned out.

As others have pointed out, look at how Rih's annual releases worked for her in 2005-12. Same with Ariana in 2018-20, and Taylor from 2019-present.

I don't think overexposure is a huge issue in the age of social media, where artists have more control of how they're perceived.

If we're exposed to the same celebrities and influencers every single day through our phones, then 45 minutes of new music once per year isn't gonna be like "oh my god I cannot escape this bítch."

We used to troll Ri for shamelessly releasing album after album every year, but she kind of had the tea. It's better to accept that an album or era underperformed and quickly move on to the next one, rather than trying to salvage something that's already over or being lazy and taking a year off to do nothing.

They all wanna be Rih and Bey after 2 eras of success without realizing that both Rih and Bey hustled their asses of for a good 15 years before earning their spot and the way they live now

RO Re-issue - end of 2024 / begging 2025

DL4 - 2026

Sadly yes. I don't see the passion in her or her team to do frequent releases :rip:

She's touring for the whole 2025, she won't record a single thing that year, so recording will start in 2026, and album release in 2027/28 for whatever reason. A nightmare, truly a nightmare :deadbanana2:

If it doesn't come out by 2025 then she can kiss her relevancy goodbye, nobody is gonna wait till 2026-2027 after the huge underperformance RO had. She needs to come back full throttle by Q1-Q3 2025 at the earliest with a fresh new sound and music that will actually connect with the GP. I think she can definitely have another huge era like DL or FN if she plays her cards right and hopefully gets better management, ENOUGH of Dukajin!

I still think she should go the urban/2000's pop sound that Tate is going with, she would SLAY the ITZ/Loose/GGGB sound :jonny5:

I really don't think she wants to be a big superstar, I feel like the FN era somehow traumatized her :deadbanana4:

Guessing DL4 in 2026 tbh. Probably like Q3 too. Her career WILL be dead by then and there won't be much hype, but perhaps she can have a revival of sorts with the right material.

If that means quality I will wait because RO wasn't it

At the very latest, her fourth album would need to be out by early/mid 2026 which is still some time away. She shouldn't wait on/rest her laurels on Radical Optimism for too long, but she's also not one to rush a project.
