Thank you ariana for saving this fad of pandemic not once but twice and even that song feels like a fluke

Die for you (solo) has as much streams as Chromatica (album)

Liddos should be more careful when it comes to dragging others for features

But Tate released early 😭

(still even with 4 more hours Abel shouldn't be outdebuted by her)

this same old excuses, a smash would smash no matter what.

take your radio payola with you and move on, try better next time.. like call ariana or gaga for a hit single.

Die for you

And Poker Face outsold every single of his songs combined. Gaga is a digital artist and The weekend debuted during spotify era. Wtf are you talking about.

+ Die For You still on power rotation on biggest radio station in the US.

Shut up and move on. His payola out of this world.

Call Gaga for a hit single. She's on the top of the world not just in music but also film industry.

he had 20 tracking hours, Tate had full day

Still this man remains at #1 on listeners for most of the year and Tate has like only 2 or 3 hits. It's bad for his standards no? :campfire:

Just like he promoted his 2016 song in the middle of 2023 and remixed it with ariana after his gigantic flop dawn fm album

This song is dull af. Is this really the lead of his new album? :rip:

Him and Dua are really on a downward spiral after their peak eras in 2020.

Stop with excuses fad of 2009 Lady Gaga is #1 on spotify since last month.

Blinding lights was a fluke and rest of hits were ariana assisted.

move on.

I entered this thread to drag him a lil bit but wow.. yall are delusional this man is the biggest MPB this decade. Give him some respect :campfire:

Doesn't it have 2 Billion more streams than certain lady's last album? If it is a gigantic flop, what does that tell us about the other?

All those "monthly listeners" and for what? Meaningless statistic if they don't even bother checking for your new releases.

Him and Dua are stuck in 2020 it seems. :coffee2:

King of Pop :clap3: great debut numbers

Posted (edited)

ATRL loves to compare artists who can tour around the world with artists who perform on the B stage on a festival at 6 p.m.

:biblionny:

As an Abel fan I know this debut is good, 4.2M outside the US (80%) is good. Most of your favorites rely on US streams to make a big debut on Spotify Global :coffee2:

But of course the numbers would be better if the song was good. :cupid:

Could be wrong but I don't see this song having longevity… It's very mid and he should start showing more versatility with his singles. He's been releasing the same tired synth-pop song. A change in vocal delivery would be nice too.

Now that Anitta collab is something different 👀

He should go back to the drawing board and build an entire era depending on ariana remix.

He can always payola his song to death on radio, barely peak at #10 with solely on radio airplay and release ariana remix during its radio peak.

Just like his past tracking record.

And this release proves he relies on heavy playlisting, it's not better.

Slightly better numbers than TMB, it's what I expected, you people are doing too much, his lead singles are always a miss (Often, Heartless, TMB), Starboy was the only one that smashed instantly, even BL had to grow

Abel is an artist like Bruno, they have a big following but not hard core fanbase that will make every song debut with +10M, watch every track from the album doing +4M on release day

It really looks like DFY remix will be his biggest debut for a long time :rip:

anyways the album will be a smash, is already outdoing Dawn FM on pre-orders
