Communion Posted September 13 Posted September 13 (This is bad policy like no taxation on tips was and it's gonna be annoying/bad if Dems copy it like they also adopted that)
Joey307 Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Does he really think the IRS will just stop taxing workers because he feels like they should 3 10
kimberly Posted September 13 Posted September 13 this is stupid. is he tryna evade his own taxes? taxes should be based on income, not the number of hours worked. why should someone working a minimum wage job be taxed more (proportionally) than a cop who makes $300k/year due to mandatory overtime? 2
Raichu Posted September 13 Posted September 13 This sort of policy promise is for stupid people who think this one off is going to actually benefit them. 7

ThePopStop Posted September 13 Posted September 13 I don't know why anyone here is complaining about this. For once, a tax break that likely will benefit almost all of you instead of the rich. 3 3
spree Posted September 13 Posted September 13 you know who also works overtime every week? Illegal immigrants. They work more overtime than anybody. 12

Rihinvention Posted September 13 Posted September 13 (edited) That will just lead to rapid hyperinflation. Anyone who's taken Economics 101 will tell you that. Edited September 13 by Rihinvention 2
Rihinvention Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Also, CEOs and millionaires will just give themselves really standard salaries and obscene overtime rates…this is so, so unrealistic. It would be funny if people weren't stupid enough to gobble it up. 1

Because taxation is good and so is then the funding of essential services and progressive policies like universal healthcare, free college, free childcare, etc. through taxation. Both Republicans and Democrats promoting liberal populism that argues for lower taxation is, in fact, bad. 5 2
spree Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Yes what's stopping a company from paying $20/hr for 40 hours, and then $200/hr for overtime? Is overtime mandatory time and a half?

Perhaps if your engineering program required you acquire at least a child's understanding of economics, you wouldn't be out here trying to flex your irrelevant degree as a credential. My master's is in Public Policy, and prior to becoming a consultant, I was a policy analyst full-time. 2 5 13 1
