Luminary Posted October 9 Posted October 9 This is amazing!! 365 tops it all, but SIAK, EIR and B2B are top tier as well. I also like what they did with IMSSS, but mostly thanks to Jon Hopkins, not particularly fond of Healy's voice.
yonsé Posted October 9 Posted October 9 such an interesting listen. some of the songs here are such an elevation of the original its almost crazy that it's not the main version of the song. I think about it all the time for example. and then others, the original is much stronger like talk talk and rewind. jury is still out for me on sympathy. ariana sounds great but the OG chorus is my favorite aspect of the song and I do miss that. but i love that we have two versions of each song. I think that's pretty brilliant. 1

I really love how imaginative most of the remixes are and she didn't lie about it being "completely different". It's basically Brat act ii. GSC remix is SOTY, but it's still the original with Lorde's verses slapped on it. I think the context made it so special. That obviously was not gonna be the case for the rest of the tracks since we already had Talk talk, Von dutch, 360 and they were all different. I expect my ranking to change a bit on Friday. Still have to go through the new lyrics.
