Jacobdaniel Posted October 7 Posted October 7 all the annoying whining about who is and isn't on the remix album is exactly why i didn't enjoy all the fan-casting people were doing about this remix album 2

Hype just vanished. Did Tinashe just whisper on this track? I guess I just have Caroline and Ariana ft to look forward to.
Midnightsun Posted October 8 Posted October 8 How is B2b shorter than the original? are the remixes complete different songs? 1

RichardBaxter Posted October 8 Posted October 8 can anyone be happy or excited about anything instead of complaining what they think someone's artistic output should be? christ lol 2
State of Grace. Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Exclusive clip from the upcoming Zane Lowe interview of her talking about the SOTY is a knife remix As expected, it will tackle the other perspective and how that also feels like a knife. Quote "I think what's interesting about the remix album... is I was writing the original record when I was in a very different position than I am post the release of Brat working on the remix album. So my perspective has changed a lot," Charli, 32, says. Since the success of Brat, Charli found herself under the spotlight like never before — and she's had to learn to navigate it. "From where I was to now, I'm definitely finding more than ever that my words are being picked apart, taken out of context. I offend a lot more people by doing exactly the same things," she says. "Nothing groundbreaking here, but I suppose because no one really cared too much before what I was doing on a personal day-to-day level." This experience gave her "empathy for bigger artists who go through that on a daily basis." "It's hard. It's hard to be constantly scrutinized for things that you have said. It's hard for your words to be taken out of context and then really kind of feel that you just can't defend yourself because that would open a whole other can of worms." Because of this, the remix of "Sympathy Is a Knife" became about her understanding that "you are only really knowledgeable about your own position" — but it's hard to complain. "I had heard that Ari wanted to do something and I was like, this is somebody who definitely knows this feeling moreso than me," she says of the "Eternal Sunshine" singer, 31. "So when she wanted to kind of take this phrase, it's a knife, obviously, we're so lucky and blessed to be in the situation that we are in — all artists who are able to make music at the level that they're making it financially support themselves from creating art. It's like we are lucky because not all artists get that." 4

Contessa Posted October 8 Posted October 8 OG Angels: Brat New "Angels": Brat and it's completely different but also still brat
RichardBaxter Posted October 8 Posted October 8 23 minutes ago, Jacobdaniel said: seriously. i miss when charli was a khia. these new fans are sucking all the fun out of her world New or not, I think everyone needs to put into perspective that she's released two albums (34 songs) in, what, 4 months? After the YEARS of label politics/purgatory. We should thankful because how WILD is that any of this is even happening? I, for one, think this is the sickest (surrealist, lbr) ever to happen to Charli - next to meeting SOPHIE at least. Trust the process. It's clear her creative instincts are grade A when she's left to her own devices (see Brat). What's the reason to complain over "lost collaborators" that were never confirmed and track lengths. Listen twice or not at all 🤷🏻♂️. 1

Cruel Summer Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Listen, I've been transfixed with Charli's work for over a decade, angels or no angels, this collaborator or that track length and everything in between, and all I can tell you is that I just know, with absolute certainty …that hearing B2b ft. Tinashe will be akin to the transcendent experience of standing at the event horizon of a dying star oh please mother(s) let me listen and let me die fulfilled 2 1 2
CallumDavies Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Charli is a true artist. You know she's picked everyone of these collaborators because they make sense with her vision for the remix album and for each of the individual songs I'm most excited for the remixes by artists I know nothing about 1 1

Imo angels were fully normal until around the self-titled era Idk what happened after that but there's been an almost militant air to the fanbase ever since then that's put me at a distance despite having been a stan since True Romance 1 1
