Wow wow wow and He's Mine kind of hit. This kind of felt like a Super Bowl lite performance.

she even bought the vanguard award to make this era iconic and still failed

She actually did really well. I've never seen a harness look so invisible. She really looked like she was flying.

 

I definitely think the audio for Dark Horse and E.T. was prerecorded because her voice didn't shake at all, and what she was doing required a fair amount of athleticism.

 

I'm also surprised no one fell down that moon crater. It was so steep. The grip on their shoes must have been insane.

 

Over all, will it save the 143 era? Probably not. But it might encourage a few more people to check it out. 

Best case scenario, it reminded people why she was (once) as dominant as she was, and it means that KP7 can't be ruled out yet. Madonna had Confessions at 46-47.

And amazing that Katy let Doechii perform her full verse during this performance. She really let her shine

It was performance of the night. And I'm His, He's Mine was my favourite snippet all along and I think the song could do well if the VMAs were relevant enough (which they are not). 

 

I hope Kats enjoyed the night. I have conflicted feelings as a former fan.

It was solid. "I'm His, He's Mine" sounds more interesting, it seems that it can claim to be a hit.

I know right, her vocals were on full display, I also like this era's remixes of her hits. She really made a competitor for Teenage Dream (WItness Edition), the best TD mix.

It was performance of the night for me. 
 

Shes really improved since the last time she performed at the VMAs. And this is her first performance in a long time in general. 
 

I know ATRL is gonna let the hate train cloud judgement, but she served everything ATRL loves and she has the hits for it too

She did really well, it was a great performance, and she also gave a good speech. Anyone trying to take that away from her is being ridiculous tbh. 
 

However, I just hate how soiled the whole thing is by her terrible recent decisions and the terrible recent music that has accompanied them.
