Gurl bye, Beyoncé invented being a visual artist and then she didn't release visuals? It's fine but at least ay you had an issue or you didn't like them and that's ok, don't come up with this made-up story of "fans being the visual" haha.

I'm not sure you understand the timeline here.

One day before RENAISSANCE came out, Beyoncé put out a press release that talked about all of this, acknowledging that she "invented" being a visual artist and why she chose not to release them yet (to let people experience the music as music, to appreciate it without distraction, etc.).

 

2 weeks later she put out the teaser for the visuals, which shows at that moment she still had an intention to still release them, that there was no issue with them.

 

Thus, her repeating the exact same reason 2 years later for why she hasn't released them cannot be called a "made-up story" if it's exactly what she was saying since day -1.

Even if she decided they weren't up to her standards, even if she just changed her mind or couldn't find the right way to release them, her decision to keep on without visuals still matches her initial decision to lead without them. That doesn't change.
