MoonGoodandHappy Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Have you ever been exhausted because of your job and felt like you would die ? So exhausted you got sick ? 2 1
KatyPrismSpirit Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Feel exhausted yes, but wanting to die no. Maybe discuss with your manager that they need to put more effort into improving your working conditions, cause you feeling this way wont make you happy and eventually also negatively impact them (as you call in sick a lot as a result of this)
Heldenzeit Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Every day, yes. But working with 25 kids means less of a physical exhaustion, much more mental exhaustion. 1
YourFavoriteWeapon Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Yes. Working as a manager at Burlington partly served as the catalyst for my suicide attempt this year.
Tayman Posted September 10 Posted September 10 I've been freelance for like 3 or 4 months now, and it's been an exhausting journey since there's a lot of self doubt and questioning if I'm good enough to be doing what I do. Of course there are a lot of positive things too but right now I'm at the bottom mentally speaking.
Pikachoo Posted September 10 Posted September 10 I'm sorry but the way you worded the title made me laugh 6

Alaska. Posted September 10 Posted September 10 I feel exhausted for not doing anything actually. My current job is way too boring and it's filled with people old enough to be my parents. I'm just saving up to move out and find something more interesting next year 2
Reginald Posted September 10 Posted September 10 A decade ago, when I worked in a call center, doing customer service for a bank. That job was HELL, every single day was filled with dread and it made me really hate people You couldn't pay me enough to ever go back into that line of work. 2
Edonis Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Yes, and that's why I quit. Have a backup plan though sis, the job market is very weird these days and even skilled candidates are taking 8 months+ to get solid offers.

On a serious note though, talk to your manager and if it doesn't help, go to your doctor and request a burnout because it's obviously unhealy for you
Joey307 Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Yes I am a restaurant server and it sucks. It's extremely mentally and physically taxing and it's been slow lately so my income has been struggling.
Pheromosa Posted September 10 Posted September 10 No and no job should ever make you feel that way, find a new one 1
Gorjesspazze9 Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Yes, every single day. And I use to job hop when I got fatigued, but nowadays is harder to get another job. It takes literally months, compared to like just a few years ago I never really had to worry about finding a job that paid the same I was making I swear the job market is 3x worse now. And I've worked in the military, Managment, Sales, Retail, Food Service, Transportation and Labor fields. The older I get the more I realize I should have just been an entrepreneur or business owner. Working is wack 1

They let me go on my first job without me expecting it and I had to wait like 5 months to get a new one. One thing that screwed me was that I was being very selective with my choices at first, but the ones I was getting interviews either rejected me or never bothered to give me an answer. Once I got the next job I had a friend asking me to send her a list of the companies I was applying because one of her ex-colleagues was struggling to find a new job as well. 2
trueromance Posted September 10 Posted September 10 yes i literally wanted to die so i quit without a new job lined up and then it took forever to find one (un)fortunately i'm still alive
jezebelvictoria Posted September 10 Posted September 10 I don't think I've ever felt exhausted before.
StayFrosty Posted September 10 Posted September 10 I had 14 patients yesterday and I wanted to commit an astroworld.
DAP Posted September 10 Posted September 10 (edited) Exhausted enough to kill myself no. But exhausted enough to kill someone that irritates me? Yes. Edited September 10 by DAP 2
gagacasanova Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Been there, done that. My current job I LOVE, so it just feels more like a hobby.
