Just a Gay on ATRL Posted September 10 Posted September 10 You might have an immediate gut answer to this question but in my opinion the answer is actually kind of difficult the more you think about it
Strawberry Bubble Posted September 10 Posted September 10 got my last job with linkedin, so twitter 1
Parachutes Posted September 10 Posted September 10 (edited) I think LinkedIn can be annoying and kinda cringe at times but it still fulfills its purpose as a (mostly) professional networking platform, I feel like a lot of that is par for the course. Twitter's new(ish) model of paying Twitter blue users for engagement incentivizes rage bait, spam, misinformation, and bots and is made worse by its very limited content moderation. Some of the disgusting and bigoted stuff I see on there now (with tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of likes) makes it feel increasingly like a cesspool, but that's what Elon wants, ig. It's not all bad ofc, but even if I go on it more frequently than LinkedIn, I'm not sure that I like the experience as much for its intended purpose Edited September 10 by Parachutes
BionicWooHoo Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Twitter has gay porn so automatically better 1 1
Loca Posted September 10 Posted September 10 LinkedIn for basically being mandatory in today's world. But that doesn't absolve Twitter for facilitating and feeding so much hatred towards the vulnerable, even moreso under Elon Musk.
HausOfPunk Posted September 10 Posted September 10 My dog just got hit by a truck — here's what it taught me about B2B sales. 12
nostalgic Posted September 10 Posted September 10 The one with open racism & Holocaust denial, obviously
Fleahive Posted September 10 Posted September 10 LinkedIn has useful discourse. Twitter has useless discourse and all the comments are porn bots. It's unusable. 1
Witnessed ET Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Apart from a few weird scams from scammers, what negative does LinkedIn really have compared to the cesspool that is Twitter? Especially after the Elon takeover. This comparison itself is stupid. 1
Rihinvention Posted September 10 Posted September 10 (edited) Twitter can make me angry but LinkedIn can make me depressed. At least with Twitter, if I can feel it impacting my emotions, I can log tf off and those emotions instantly go away. Whereas the constant humble-bragging of successful workaholics can cause me to spiral even after I've closed the browser. Edited September 10 by Rihinvention
judasmonster Posted September 10 Posted September 10 (edited) linkedin is more cringe and gives constant eye roll seeing people's post, while twitter is a cesspool of toxicity, misinformation and racism. never regretted deleting my twitter account. Edited September 10 by judasmonster
Peak Now Posted September 10 Posted September 10 Before I would've answered LinkedIn but now it's definitely Elon Musk's Alt-Right Broadcaster
popmusicisdead Posted September 10 Posted September 10 (edited) LinkedIn because i keep getting hounded by recruiters. b*tch I don't want to work Edited September 10 by popmusicisdead
Alaska. Posted September 10 Posted September 10 At least I can find funny tweets and read news from credible sources I follow on Twitter. I just have Linkedin for the possibility of receving better job offers from recruiters, because if I browse the app for longer than 5 minutes I get frustrated with the fake corporate bs
chromatico Posted September 12 Posted September 12 I can't spend more than 10 seconds on LinkedIn without seeing a cringy post, it's like girl we are all going to die one day so enough with that corporate slave bs My twitter feed is basically all music & stan account posts so at least it's somewhat entertaining
