Such a nostalgic and euphoric vibe! This song really takes me back to the golden age of 2010s pop.

I'm pretty underwhelmed by this maybe it will grow but it feels very middle of the road.

It has all the ingredients to be a smash, but something about it feels watered down to me

Yall this will smash, you can't deny that :dies:

It reminds me of After Hours' beat, lol. Go to 1:50 in the video and you'll hear it

It reminds me of the beats from The Hills and After Hours. Go to 0:24 in the first video and 1:50 in the second one:

After several more listens, yeah this one is just not doing a thing for me and I usually love Abel's stuff. Still hyped for the album because we know it has plenty of great stuff like Wake Me Up and Take Me Back to LA but this was a very mid lead single

In terms of charts, it might be a hit but I don't see it having a lot of longevity because it's kinda forgettable

It sounds very basic but it's already growing on me I guess. I want dark bops.

the lyrics are quite dark

I can't wait to see your face
Crash when we're switching lanes
My love's beyond the pain
But if I miss the brake
We're dancing in the flames
It's indescribable

This sucks. Sounds like We Can't Be Friends but he wanted to make it. Let this tired trilogy of albums be over unless you're gonna do more fun music like Dawn FM had (Take My Breath, Gasoline).

MY KING!!!!!

Love this song is like a mix between Less Than Zero, Save Your Tears & Take My Breath

The chorus sounds timeless :WAP:

ANNOUNCE THE ALBUM RELEASE DATE

oh king this is lacking for me

I feel like I'd be into it in the summer? idk

Ahhhh I love it :jonnycat: King is back!

the thread should be changed to single, not track!

love the song!!  This will sound sooo good in concerts

The live version is so much better! Wish they kept the piano intro... The mixing is also off like he sounds kinda soulless compared to the live version.

MTE

When I heard that "I... can't..." my mind immediately went to "be friends" :deadbanana4:

That ending does sound like it leads into something else though... okay transitions :clap3:

I agree it's giving 'we can't be friends'

that synth line broke its back carrying this song, but it's still a no :michael:

I like the song, it's far from his best and a lil too safe, but I can see why it's the lead single. I'm sure he's saving the better material for the album.

As for the mv…  sorry but iPhones are not yet ready for this bc you can absolutely tell that it was shot on iPhone (and not in a good way). I hate that his lead single feels more like an ad for Apple. It would've been ok for the second or third single but he really needed the type of blockbuster video we're used to from him for the lead.

Yeah... I think the piano helps with building up the song and makes the song gradually feel grander. It sounds very basic now but guess they got rid of it for the radios?

Disappointed about no piano intro. The beat switch in the live version was amazing

Its a bit more basic than some of his other classics but still good
