Strawberry Bubble Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Such a nostalgic and euphoric vibe! This song really takes me back to the golden age of 2010s pop.
eclipsed Posted September 13 Posted September 13 I'm pretty underwhelmed by this maybe it will grow but it feels very middle of the road.
toast Posted September 13 Posted September 13 It has all the ingredients to be a smash, but something about it feels watered down to me

4th Time Around Posted September 13 Posted September 13 (edited) After several more listens, yeah this one is just not doing a thing for me and I usually love Abel's stuff. Still hyped for the album because we know it has plenty of great stuff like Wake Me Up and Take Me Back to LA but this was a very mid lead single In terms of charts, it might be a hit but I don't see it having a lot of longevity because it's kinda forgettable Edited September 13 by 4th Time Around 1

I want dark bops. the lyrics are quite dark I can't wait to see your face Crash when we're switching lanes My love's beyond the pain But if I miss the brake We're dancing in the flames It's indescribable
lgaga1fan Posted September 13 Posted September 13 This sucks. Sounds like We Can't Be Friends but he wanted to make it. Let this tired trilogy of albums be over unless you're gonna do more fun music like Dawn FM had (Take My Breath, Gasoline).
Ivan_brit Posted September 13 Posted September 13 MY KING!!!!! Love this song is like a mix between Less Than Zero, Save Your Tears & Take My Breath The chorus sounds timeless ANNOUNCE THE ALBUM RELEASE DATE
Breathe On Moi Posted September 13 Posted September 13 oh king this is lacking for me I feel like I'd be into it in the summer? idk
mrpartyrocker Posted September 13 Posted September 13 the thread should be changed to single, not track! love the song!! This will sound sooo good in concerts
PYT Posted September 13 Posted September 13 The live version is so much better! Wish they kept the piano intro... The mixing is also off like he sounds kinda soulless compared to the live version. 1
Danny1021 Posted September 13 Posted September 13 I love this song & im happy he makes full songs not half ass unfinished songs with no bridges like Katy & Tate 1 1

Whore of Babylon Posted September 13 Posted September 13 that synth line broke its back carrying this song, but it's still a no 1
Burn Posted September 13 Posted September 13 (edited) I like the song, it's far from his best and a lil too safe, but I can see why it's the lead single. I'm sure he's saving the better material for the album. As for the mv… sorry but iPhones are not yet ready for this bc you can absolutely tell that it was shot on iPhone (and not in a good way). I hate that his lead single feels more like an ad for Apple. It would've been ok for the second or third single but he really needed the type of blockbuster video we're used to from him for the lead. Mark Rih Posted September 13 Posted September 13 Disappointed about no piano intro. The beat switch in the live version was amazing Its a bit more basic than some of his other classics but still good 1
