jakeisphat Posted September 8 Posted September 8 So far, each of these artists have had two commercial peaks in their careers. All of them have maintained a cult following despite not being dominant on the charts, and several have experienced a chart rebirth when their songs gained popularity on TikTok. Who is most likely to peak a third time? Kehlani First peak - 2016: "Gangsta" #41 BBH100 Second peak - 2020: "Can I" (ft. Tory Lanez) #50 BBH100 Tinashe First peak - 2014: "2 On" (ft. Mupps Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Wishing it to all of them but especially Tinashe she's so hard working and creative 1
reymiu Posted September 8 Posted September 8 I wouldn't say Muni Long repeaks. Her star is on the rise. What about Jhene Aiko? 1

I honestly forgot about H.E.R. - but now that I've refreshed my memory, she hasn't released a solo song in over 3 years. Why did she drop off so hard after her Grammy win? 42 minutes ago, reymiu said: What about Jhene Aiko? I thought about Jhene, but she has lowkey smashed with all three of her albums. Even when she charts low, her singles always go multi-platinum. She has blown all 4 of the listed artists out of the water commercially. 3
glitch Posted September 8 Posted September 8 Victoria Monet I think, since I think a lot of people still see her as a "new" artist. Muni could potentially get another tiktok hit, but she doesn't seem to have much of a fanbase. Kehlani's kinda over commercially and she seems out of ideas as an artist. Crash was a failed attempt at experimentation and she immediately ran back to her "safe" sound on a poorly mixed mixtape. Tinashe got lucky with Nasty, and as much as I'd love to see her get another hit, I just don't think it's likely given the way Nice Life have handled her career since signing her.
ChooseyLover Posted September 8 Posted September 8 (edited) I'll say Muni. That woman has an ear for hits. I just found out yesterday she wrote Timber like... She just needs to release Superpowers as a single. It's even stronger than Made for Me. Edited September 8 by ChooseyLover
