Why won't Gaga release the Do What U Want video?

Recommended Posts

I saw a clip on Twitter from 2013 of Gaga saying it was a really natural collaboration for her because both her and R Kelly have very untrue things written about them, and that Do What U Want is a bond between them and it reminded me of the video.

The video was filmed and directed by Terry Richardson but it never came out. Why didn't she release it?

It's a genuine question! The video was ready to be released and then just never was with no explanation from Gaga. Why didn't it come out?

Haven't you got some unseasoned chicken to be seeing to on this fine Sunday lunch time?

now see, my question is how it hasn't leaked in the decade+ since it was filmed. we know it was in circulation to some degree - even before the TMZ snippets, we got that one super lq snippet from some gays snapchat story like 2 months prior. and there's been PLENTY of time for that to circulate, or for them to be trolls and drop it for the hell of it but…nothing :rip:

If the tea is cold, can you please answer my question? I have no idea why she didn't release the video. I remember her saying he had false allegations from people, but if anything that means she wanted to release the video. Did the label stop it?

Because she knew it was wrong and would hurt a lot of people. Yes, she did a really bad mistake but eventually she realized how fvkked up it was so she had to do the right thing and corrected them.

Can't say the same to someone who continually and deliberately worked with a known r@pist.

She did explain. She made a long instagram post in the artpop era where she explained why she decided to scrap the video. Or was it on littlemonsters.com? Maybe someone will dig it up for you.

Because R. Kelly peed on a child.

Quit playing dumb and quit doubling down by being like "I really don't know :dancehall: I'm just curious :dancehall:"

Did she donate any of the proceeds of the song to charities supporting victims of child sex abuse? Or does she still believe the allegations are false?

You are coming across extremely aggressively here. This is a serious topic and I'm just wondering why Gaga pulled the video after saying she believes his victims are liars. It seems to indicate it was the label's decision instead. Did she ever give a proper statement on this at the time?

Girl it's been more than a decade :rip:

She either had a moment of lucidity before it was too late or had someone above her stop the realease (for the better)

In turn, she eventually gave us the Legend X remix

It's time to let it go

Honestly this, I think that Snapchat was of a TV broadcast in Germany or something so potentially some European liddos saw the whole thing and it's rotting on a VHS tape in a basement in Frankfurt :rip:

Is there a time limit on when knowingly working with pedophiles stops being a bad thing?

She's spoken on this so I suggest you read it in her own words.

Is the concept of 'morals' that hard to grasp for users from this site?

You know what's the good thing about Little Monsters? You won't see them defending R. Kelly or Terry Richardson for Gaga's sake.

Because she made a conscious decision that the video would hurt other people and her career. Later removed the song and apologized to the victims. Publicly showed which side she is on about SA and supported Kesha, which during the process had a breakdown cause she is also a survivor. And on top of that, she didn't run back to both of these men like someone else did and didn't try to justify it by "becoming a mother" :giraffe:
