Keto lovers: how many grams of carbs do you eat daily? Any replacements you've found?

I used to be a big white rice fan but recently changed to hearts ofbpalm rice and amazed at how big of a difference the carbs are (105g of carbs with 2 cups of cooked white rice vs. 5g of carbs with 2 cups of hearts of palm rice)

I've looked into alternative sweetners as well such as erythritol that doesn't get metabolized the same way sugar does.

Any replacements that have been life changing for you?

I'm also looking into keto crust for pizza, keto buns

I use stevia instead of sugar. I am right now on keto, and trying no to pass 40g of carbs. Don't know where you live but in Europe Lidl have grate yogurts/piddings with proteins and little carbs, I use them daily

Seaweed thins and nuts instead of crisps.

Sugar is hard to avoid for me, I'm not a fan of sweeteners as they tend to be just as bad. I like making frozen yoghurt blueberry bites drizzled with a tiny bit of dark chocolate

I don't do keto but the diet im on rn has me eating a lot of foods that are marketed towards keto followers and today i tried the Eat Water rice, its made from Konjac - 9 calories per 100g, 6g carbs per 100g i think

whats the texture of hearts of palm rice like? I might switch over to that bc Eat Water is alright but the texture could rly be better 😭 and the texture of their spaghetti is like eating live human veins …

Hearts of palm is so good. It's definitely not the same as rice but good enough for me, cooks easily, for a 100g difference of carbs I'll take it...

Some sweetners are bad - the ones that get metabolized but others don't get metabolized the same way.

I should start keto soon tbh… legy world cause I'm trying out Factor 75 (which is like a better hellofresh from what i've heardsies) and they have some promising keto options i've seen and it might help me with actual muscle definition. dgmw, my workout routine has been helping me soooo much in terms of confidence and general well-being/How_I_Feel.mp3 but I think keto would maybe help with my high cholesterol and general tummy vibes (the men in my family are historically wont to have high cholesterol starting in our mid-20s and beer bellies a bit, the women in my family have the fast metabolism lasting forever smh so jealous! I mean dgmw mine is still relatively fast but it's slowed down since my college years have past)

i actually did have labs done a few weeks ago and my cholesterol being high was the only health concern they had for me :tornado:

Less than 50g carbs a day.

Monkfruit and Stevia mostly for sweetener replacements.

I eat an avocado a day at least- lots of leafy greens or riced broccoli/cauliflower for replacement of needing some kind of starch - lots of FIBER supplements (psyllium husk) daily- low carb new inventions to try out at the grocery store as well tbh. Sounds corny, but also getting recipes from influencers help too.

ppl make keto sound to be a diet, but for me it's really just a way of eating…once it clicks you realize how bloated you used to feel all the time before then.

So, what is the upper threshold for carb intake?

Just some things I learned that helped me with keto. Always round carbs per serving up 1. Companies can round down so if you are going off labels you may under count. Low carb tortillas are a DREAM for me. Use them for everything (tacos, pizzas, tortilla chips etc). If you can find Healthy Noodles from Costco they are by far and away the best LC noodle (but hard to find and pricy). Breyers LC ice cream is amazing for when you get a sweet craving. Good luck!
