I'm really confused by these posts comparing Christina Aguilera to singers who had a brief peak and then disappeared. Christina actually has a legacy with major classics outside the US. Jessica Simpson, on the other hand, doesn't have that kind of impact.

Christina Aguilera is a legend (and I'm not even a fan of her voice). She's an established act; people recognize her name because of her classics and her solid presence in the music industry.
