OK but your posts are not evidence. I have not defended Gaga performing in Israel or her silence on the matter even today. I've simply said I can't find a source for that quote and idk how to tell if the article was edited to remove it or not. So idk why you chose to respond to me at all. We don't need to take your word for it when there should be ways to find the original article surely?

I'm not telling yall to "take my word" (when countless others recall her saying it) because I truly don't care if Liddos believe it or not at the end of the day. They are already deluding themselves into thinking that she's an angel who does no wrong. The original article is here. The quote was removed after already being reported and copied by other publications like Billboard. Why would the latter lie about this thing specifically? 

OK fair enough, I just wanted the source which is why I was critical of you responding without it. Sometimes journalists do repeat false stories through lazy journalism it just didn't seem clear to me if the quote was real or not. Thanks for providing the evidence. It's a truly stupid comment to make and I'm very upset that she won't support Palestinians.

OK so seeing as he was right about what she said then it's probably a good time to criticise her over it. Afterall he made the same mistake and learned better but she's instead gone silent on the issue to protect her career. I feel like the criticism of "performative" and "virtue signalling" are a bit unreasonable. Oh man both of these quotes are from this article after all appears so? Nevermind my earlier comment, then this person was right and she should be dragged if these are true as they appear to be. Girl. The original source was the The Independent - A UK-based paper. This isn't The Times of Israel making up stories. Israel only came up in the article because they asked her about her performance there a few days prior. I really don't think Craig McLean was inventing Israel quotes about Lady Gaga for an article that was going out to English readers.

But the original source was the independent a British outlet. Plus a misquote could happen but it would probably be them messing up her phrasing to imply something different or adding on something she didn't say. Wouldn't that just be corrected rather than the entire quote being removed from the article?
