sweetsexysavage Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Both, Muni Long and Normani, gave us two fabulous R&B albums this summer. But which one is your favourite? Name your favourite songs as well!
glitch Posted September 5 Posted September 5 (edited) Normani's had higher highs for me, so she's taking it. Both artists suffer from lacking their own distinctive sound. Muni's album sounds like a tribute to 00s R&B but she hasn't really put her own spin on the music, which leaves it feeling very generic. My faves on Dopamine: Take My Time, All Yours, Insomnia, Little Secrets My faves on Revenge: Ruined Me, Bessie, Things I Never Said Edited September 5 by glitch 1
KatyPrismSpirit Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Muni Long hands down. Superpowers, Make Me Forget and The Baddest are better than anything Normani ever put out and its really no shade 1
Fading Posted September 5 Posted September 5 I enjoyed more songs on Normani's album... especially because some of them had heavy replay value for me. Muni's album, however, has some great throwback to 00s R&B songs, especially the Mimi-esque ones. They're objectively better. Both are kinda even for me as their highs and lows are kinda opposite. Muni's current songs are meh, her true R&B songs are amazing. Normani's current songs are good, it lacks great R&B moments, especially vocally centered. 1
sparrowblue Posted September 5 Posted September 5 Superpowers and Made For Me alone clear everything from the other album. 1
