Raspberries Posted September 4 Posted September 4 MC will likely end up in the high 40s once this is released. Bad look all-around, but not surprised because Todd Phillips sucks Gaga will be fine as this will still be profitable (although nowhere near as much as the first), but I think she needs a different kind of role...and from a director that's actually, you know, good 1
toast Posted September 4 Posted September 4 I wonder if it's actually bad or if this is part of the fallout from Joaquin dropping out of that gay movie
Stunnah Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Hopefully, Nurtec was provided free of charge to all the traumatised critics after the showing. Not very nice of her to subject people who are just doing their jobs to a 2.5 hour musical courtroom drama! 2

bjorn Posted September 4 Posted September 4 1 minute ago, Radical Pessimism said: I don't think the movie will bomb. The Joker character is too big to be a flop at the box office! I doubt it will cross 1B like the first one lets see
popmusicisdead Posted September 4 Posted September 4 it's honestly not the bad reviews that bother me. it can be terrible but still fun. it's the ones that are saying she was wasted. makes it seem like she doesn't have much to do. we need Gaga at 100% 2
Dula Peep Posted September 4 Posted September 4 35 minutes ago, Digitalism said: I think that Joaquin was the first ever to win an oscar for acting on movie with less than 60 on metacritic but that was helped by the box office. So this will be a similar situation. Gaga is still safe for the nom as long as the movie is a huge success. The win will depend on the competition now which seem super weak this year. I hope to god that's the case here as well… at lease a nom unlike HOG getting shut out would be great
mrpartyrocker Posted September 4 Posted September 4 How did they review a whole movie an hour ago when the red carpet only finished around that time?
Sugar-Rush Posted September 4 Posted September 4 26 minutes ago, Radical Pessimism said: I don't care about them. That's my opinion and a lot of people agree with me. So we're supposed to ignore the reviews from actual professionals whose job it is to review films and instead trust in your personal opinion? 1 1

European critics/audiences like it more than American ones so it will likely go down as more American critics see it
